Hey guys

Ive been doing local cashies around the place for a while but ive finally
just bought myself a house/workshop that im going to set up as a small trim shop and work from. (Legit) haha

Currently developing the website. Hopefully have a bunch of my pictures up shortly. Unfortunately they're pretty old and only taken on my phone, but ive got heaps more on my digital camera that ill post up as soon as i can.

Do you do custom jobs (print in the trims), or more sticking to simple re-trims for the moment??

Yep i can do the whole lot, embroidery and even high frequency welding into a piece of vynal or leather, and that looks mint, not many people can do that, but i can get the pattern made up and weld it into the material, turns out awesome. gotta post more pictures as soon as i can and ill show you:)

Umm nah no set rates really...

All seats are different, and some cars are harder to trim than others.

So i cant really give you any rough numbers as such, i just need to know what you want done to what car and then i can give you a ballpark figure

Yeh i can do handbreak and gearboot covers no problem. $70 the pair will cover em.

what do you mean a cheap subby? do you mean a good vynal? (much cheaper than leather) ? if you wanted it your rear seat retrimmed in vynal ill do it for $550 or maybe less. Or leather will cost you probably $1000. Yep leather costs a fortune, More than happy to do it for ya in leather if you want to pay the money, otherwise just go the vynal

haha yeh thats the one, it was my friend doms ute. i did that job for $450.

But i didnt do the whole thing, those seats were originally full black leather, all i did was take out the original black inserts and put a red vinal in. Looks like leather hey? awesome material and colour that red one. Im temped to put it in my car, i can never make my mind up lol.

those door inserts were a pain in the ass, hed rubbed armerol (spelling?) all over those doors, so the glue refused to stick, i think they were starting to lift in the pressure points.

That was a pretty good price coz he was a good mate of mine. Price can vary depending on the difficulty involved in the seat you want trimmed. Your best bet is to just give me a call and organise to bring your car round so we can have a look at it and i can give you a quote.

Good stuff that seems very reasonable. I will chase up some leather and get back to you. Is it advisable to use the marine grade gear for boats? I can get through my old man who is in the rag trade so can you tell me what would be the best one to use and what you prefer to work with if there is any differences.

Hey mate, na marine grade isn't necessary, just make sure its an automotive leather thats all... Other than that im pretty sure you'll be alright to just get the feel and type of leather that you want.

Let me know how you go before you buy anything, its probably best if i give it the okay before you go spending bulk money on a Hyde of leather :)

hey mate just wondering if you do interior plastic repairs. I have a few areas in my r34 that previous people havent taken care with and scratched some of the plastic areas of the lower dash. Its nothing major, just a few nicks and nacks but it gets to me haha. The plastic, like most dash pieces, has a certain pattern through it, so i was just wondering how that is kept, and if you do that sort of thing.

Also what do you charge for embroidery? say 12cm x 12cm sign of the nissan GT simbol?

Hey buddy sorry but i dont do the dash repairs:( Thats a vynal welder that does that sort of work. Also embroidery isnt exactly part of motor trimming either, you actually need a special machine for that. I do get alot done so i could point you in the right direction of getting something made up for you if you wanted. If your intrested give me a call and ill help you out.

Haha yeh came up nice, i had to put that extra lip on the front and repaired all the foam, so shes good as new!

See that console behind your seat? thats a massive job man, entire car is getting trimmed in leather, has had everything built from scratch, dash, console doors etc etc. even the floors are all fibreglassed and covered in leather. Crazy build! Will be putting photos up on my website as soon as its done, have to update the whole site soon, will post here when i do and ill be requiring some feedback;)

Hey mate yeh you should probably get the dash painted in my opinion, i can cover it but its probably not worth the hassle of getting the vents and everything to fit back in.

Hard question to answer, in what sort of material? Basically you can work off roughly $400 per front seat and about $650 for the rear, thats for a pretty basic vynal or cloth or something. Obviously just a ball park figure -could be more or could be less, but if your interested come around and we'll sort something out.

Suede is alcantra style? but not alcantra, i havent managed to find anyone that sells it locally, but im sure i can find it if you want, i was told however its ridiculously expensive, so start saving haha. I was told it starts from about $180 sqm trade price...

Otherwise plenty of other options, just comes down to the mighty dollar.

To be honest any sort of nice black/grey fabric would do.
Any idea on price for 2x seats and 2x door trims (doors are probably only a couple of square meters total). Seats similar to the NX ones you had on your website.

umm i think it was $5500 for all his seats and door trims and door trim arm rests and stuff... all in leather with orange french seaming... was a bit of custom work on the rear seats because they are obviously not out of that car so i had to trim them to fit...

I dont really mind coming out to pick up or drop off, but a boat cover wouldn't really work, I would have to be coming to and from too many times for it to be worth it. Sounds great, not long ago I restored a whole yacht, not sure what happened to it originally but it was almost a complete build, either way get him to get in touch with me and we will go from there.
