Wanted to Hire/Buy 2nd hand tig welder AC/DC

Got a fair bit of fab work coming my way soon on the car so im chasing a ac/dc tig welder.

If hire option, ill supply all my own gas and the like. Looking to rent one for a few weeks. Possibly have one in the shed your not using?

If buy option, looking for AC/DC single phase tig preferably with foot control. Interested in anything really, only welding ally staino and mild. So any other wanky features like plasma cutters arent required. But ill take what i can get. Looking to spend between 800-1k. Possibly older banger?

mate you need dc- dc+ ac machine to do all that welding as a normal ac/dc machine wont do ally

i was at BOC last friday looking at new tigs for staino/mild/ally

wasnt any change frm 4k on the cheapest i could find that suited

They have them on ebay for about 1200 with 2yrs warrenty. Might be worth giving that a shot, its only small stuff im doing.
