My current 9puck exedy clutch is on it's last legs!!!!! I am looking for suggestions as to what is a good clutch that will take 8000rpm launches and general abuse for a reasonable amount of time. I managed to get 6 months out of the exedy item but now it spins up on the fly wheel in 4th and 5th gear so i am guessing I will need an new flywheel also. It is in a R33 running about 390rwhp. I want to keep a bit of drivability but as the car is now a toy and nolonger a daily driver it is not a must. Any suggestions this is the 3rd clutch I have had in the car so I am now looking for something tuffer!

a twin/tripple plate would probably be the common recommendation id say

i would also say get a twin plate, and you'll get a new flywheel with it so thats an added bonus
depending on your budjet you can spend anywhere from 1200-2200 on a nice twin plate, ranging from nismo to OS giken to ORC to ATS to exedy etc
I havent heard anything bad from the above clutches, and generally with skylines people rate the nismo coppermix twin plate as the best in terms of power handling and its ability to be driven like a stock clutch, but at over 2 grand for the set, its a fair chunk of cash.
Im going to get a ORC 709 series twin plate for my skiz, once again havent heard a bad thing about them, its rated to 700ps and its a fair bit cheaper than a nismo coppermix at around the 1500 mark.

nismo twin plates are lovely to drive and will easily cope with the power your making. Other then that the ORC and OS Giken make lovely twin plates as well that drive nice.

OS Giken for driveability.
Twin/Tripple, not hard to drive at all one you're used to them.

I`m running nismo twin plate coppermix in my R33 and its very responsive. As stated comes with flywheel as well.
Still trying to get used it it thou as its not my daily driver. Always stall it at least 1-2 times when driving it.
