Driver only - $2375
Driver + co - $3175
If two of you are entering, the idea is to budget for around $5.5k for the weekend including tyres.
Little bit more if you need to prep your car for track work.
I've paid my deposit already. Myself and a co-driver will be competing.

You never drive 2 up and your wife would be required to drive the car solo.
If she's anything like my missus, I wouldn't let her near anything with a turbo. It'd be like this......Nothing, nothing, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSTT, CRASH........(I bought her a 1.6L, 1500kg, 78kw Beetle and she thinks it's fast)..
That most likely because you threw 10k of overnight parts from japan in it and didnt tell her.
P.S Ive never seen her drive it, but you a few times.
Something you wanna share?

Somehow Pauls car still in one peice although with driving miss daisy as co-driver not likely to break, 34 GTR from NSW with smashed front diff housing, 32 GTR with bent rear suspension, Stevo with gearbox issues, Lukian getting over taken by an Integra ;).
Some awesome driving by Matt Cherry as usual, proving evo's can do BURNOUTS.

Damn... at least they didnt come 4th!
The Gazzard Evo is mental though with its 2.3l and all the carbon bits lexan etc. Pretty much Steve car is the same minus the power bits.
I saw the Notaras evo when I was at superlap and thought for some reason it seemed slow. Those words are gladly eaten.
Awesome comeback for the glued front diff 34 with Blaise and Andrew.

that commo ... is the hardest thing i have heard in person ... but in true commo fashion it went nowhere.
good day managed to get to both barbs and glouscter ... few things ... i HEART the 33 GTST ... aside from the Commo its the 2nd angriest sounding car and went hard to boot ... Loopians nuts at Gloucster park were hands down the most normal thing i have ever seen ... that integra did ok with 3 wheels on the track most of the day ... all in all good day

big up to lukian, well done champ, also well done to many other antilag members doing the dutton.
How f**ken good was that weekend.
Ended up second outright, with massive credit to SJ for his huge driving effort over the weekend. Massive thanks to him for letting me steer - i had an hours seat time and no competition for the last 12 months. That in itself shows a lot of trust with someone else's car - thanks soo much for the awesome weekend.
Many highlights but the biggest would be at the end of Collie on day one. Blaise and Snowy had a smashed front diff and as usual were doing very well. SJ, YODA and crew all pulled together, arranged parts and had the car back in perth that night, on a hoist and back and running like new (thanks to some araldite) for the remainder of the event. Top work guys, definitely what dutton is all about.

i was robbed of fastest time at glouster, im protesting the result as they reckon i went wrong way in the bashed up 97 shitter..
im dark
but on current results i placed 7th outright in co dirvers, 2nd in class, and not sure where i came in over all, given last years non event of us in the dak dak of fury, this year was a total turnaround, the car performed faultlessly, and aside from my driver ivan stuffing it into the wall, it came out fairly scott free, all i can say is thank god for ratchet straps and rad support pannels being weak as piss, and subaru radiators suprisingly, copping a beating and comming back for more, this ones had a roll over and a wall experience, i think its time to retire it..

Brockbanks front lip indicates a little offroad excursion?
Neg, copped a hit in the hotel carpark cause it's too low, then broke when it scraped around the basin at Wanners.
What a weekend!! Honestly one of the best weekends I've ever had. Had everything you could possibly ask for. Thanks big time to Brett for the late night effort on Thursday to get the car ready, and Bart for the use of the workshop.
We were gentle on the car for the first two days, just to make sure we made it to the 3rd day.
The GTR was useless at the tight motokhana shit, too laggy and shit turning circle.
The circuits were a different story, 25th at Collie, 20th at Wanners, and 14th at AHG. I was stoaked, so happy it was competitive on the track.
Amazing how much faster guys like Steve/Franz/Chris are, they really are a step above the rest on most tracks.

Thanks to everyone, some of who i only met this weekend.
Special thanks to THE CHAD who kept my car fed with its desire for fuel pumps and basically kept us in the rally.
Extra memories made by Steve Jones for yelling Buuuurnoooout, just as i did my last stage, in 2wd at glouster park on a 6k launch.
Youd think we would get tired of BUrNOUT as it was used so much on the weekend.......... but somehow it never grew old.

Well if you run the gauntlet, then I wouldn't expect the organisers to be so lenient in letting you participate next time. A risk you take.
There are other avenues for ripping nuts, however as previously mentioned Fryer is missing a screw or two when it comes to this issue. I do recall multiple nuts in a certain suburb on a "quiet" Sunday morning, getting MANY looks of disapproval.

Unfortunately not - fu(ked rear cradle, front cross member bent, left door out of alignment, dented chassis rail.
Repairable but a fair chunk of work required

How is the front wheel that fucked, but the car has no signs of damage at the front?

hit the wall with the front wheel on lock maybe

The wall is 'stepped'. It basically has a kerb along the bottom of it.
I suspect a lot of the damage was done bouncing through the sand sideways as well.

ppl make mistakes. Everyone learns and moves on I wouldnt hold it aganist him... even the best of the best slip up from time to time, we are only human after all.
I would, not all instructors should be instructors.
Jai certainly doesnt fall into that bracket though. Sure most of us will attest to him being really good up at no limits.

I wouldnt let any of the instructors drive my car at a No Limits night, regardless of what they have or havent done on the racetrack. I'm there to improve MY times and even though seeing someone else drive it might help a little its not worth the risk IMO.

Car we drove on weekend is owned by a mate , if he had doubts then he wouldnt of let us drive it AND if we break it the owner knows we will fix it ..
Im sure same goes for Gavs car with Jai driving it

Yeah if he accepted the co-drive knowing he couldnt afford to fix it if he came unstuck thats pretty stupid. Not saying thats the case here, just hypothesising.

I think we should all be a bit sensitive here.
Currently there is a very nice car sitting damaged in a workshop.
Jai had tears in his eyes when he came back to the pits.
Gav is a top bloke and I'm sure was heart broken about the whole thing, as I was.
Being as the wounds on both sides are still fresh i think we should all be careful not to offend anyone, as it was an accident.
abuse me if you want, but lets keep the boys out of it eh.
Dont think anyone's said anything insulting or untoward yet, and as long as it continues as such there is no need to moderate it.
Im sure many of us know what Gav has been through with that car to get it to where it is, and as such would also feel his pain right now.

dont know either of them but im sure if you let someone co drive your car you understand the risks involved and they both arnt happy with the what happened, all they can do is work to fix the car, its motorsport and these things do happen.

Fogz drove my GTR around Barbagallo once, as he wanted to feel what the Federal tyres felt like (Event Sponsor), I had no issue with him driving at all, Infact I told him dont be shy go for it, more so I could get some feedback on the car itself.
But I forgot how car sick I get!, by the end of the 3 laps I was crook as :(
So no, never again...for my sake only ;)

id assume ud have a different outlook if some1 put your car into the wall. would u happily turn around and say, "thats all right mate, its racing, shit happens".
then be left with the task of fixing up your damaged street car which u may (or may not) rely on to get to work each day?? all because some1 was pushing it too hard to find the limits of your car??
Hi all
Has anyone got any footage of either myself in the White Integra or the lovely TRD hilux that the girls ended up using after destroying a clutch in there EVO 9??
Cheers

I would have to question why you were racing your street car that you rely on for work then.
Case of driving within your limits....be it limits of ability, or financial/resource limits. if you cant afford to fix it, dont drive it in a way that risks breaking it. and when it comes to motorsport, its not really a case of IF it will break, moreso just WHEN, from my very limited experience.
I personally wont drive other peoples cars because I couldnt afford to fix them if anything were to go wrong. and the only people i would let drive mine are those i know ARE in a position to be able to fix it.
Yeah you would be pretty nuts to drive your one and only car to its limits on the track with no backup.
Look at everyone around here for example :
Brockas has a fleet of his dads Toyotas :D
Steve has a stagea
B0BB0 has a ex taxi falcoon
Lukian has several shitter imports
I've always had a bunky simply because I knew that piece of shit car was going to break.
I could keep going, but you get the point.
If someone happened to put my car into a wall, it would be a pain, but on the other side of it they would be a trusted friend as no one in their right mind would allow a random to just get in and go nuts.

i was referring to instructors which id assume have no legal responsibilty to fix a randoms cars shall they damage it in any way when u have given them permission to drive it.
theres no doubt that most people have acess to other cars to drive during the week but in brockas case - his gtr is his pride and joy street car.

i think fanta summed it up well when his said this awhile ago.
At the hands of the co-driver;
a) something mechanical breaks - owners problem
b) car crashed due to a mechanical problem/fault/break-down - owners problem
c) car crashs due to driver pushing too hard - co-drivers problem.
And if i was to ever drive someone elses car i would make sure that i could afford to fix it if anything would ever happen before i drove the car.
** note - i am talking about co-drivers in general not this incident.

Everyone is really jumping to conclusion's im sure the person in question is going to help the owner fix it up. I would also like to say everyone is saying if the driver cant afford it then dont drive it but you guys need to look at the other side... If you know somthing like this can happen "It's racing something will happen" then you should well expect it. I would also like to point out at the end of the day its a car. "A very nice car" But still a car, everyone was ok and noone got killed. To me that is better then asking about the car.
I think everyone should lay off because i'm sure he isnt feeling to well about what happend and we sure as fuck ant making it any better...
end rant
You seem to be awefully upset... over nothing.
Firstly, no one has said anything bad about the driver at the time of the accident.
Secondly, the discussion has all been in general context, none of it has been specific.
I think its great we have had a healthy debate on a topic without resorting to insults etc etc. And as long as it continues as such there is no need to lay off so to speak.
