Probably a long shot, but would anyone have, or perhaps know someone who owns and wouldn't mind selling a Fiat Niki? This is what it looks like by the way:

Don't care about the condition of the car, as long as the shell is good enough.

Don't care about the engine, we will replace it with a turbo SR20, or something else small enoguh to fit. To be honest any engine with more than 15hp will be a substantial improvement. Have a plan on making it into a bullsh|t stupid drag car. And no joke, I am serious!

Willing to pay up to a grand. Cheers!

Me and my cuz, perhaps couple of other blokes too. Kind of came up with the idea while we were drunk (and on crack of course) the other day. Now that we're sober, it's still sounds like a good idea. We got heaps of various engines lying around gathering dust in the backyard, might use those. Most of the parts we need are there, just a matter of fitting all that crap in. It's a rear engined rwd car, in full trim it weight about 500 kilos haha. It will be a typical bodgepro project :D Won't be road registered obviously. Apart from safety sh|t like brakes and a cage, everything else will be a bodge job I reckon. Engine mounts? Nah, just weld the enigne to the chassis, that kind of a job we're talking about haha.

Those cars are farken hard to find though. There is one for sale in QLD at the moment, that's it. I see them on the road every now and then, next time I do, I will pull them over and offer them cash haha.

Might offer a carton of piss spotters fee too

Cool, cheers mate! I'll let my cuz know about the engine. Hopefully a car will come up soon.

Isn't mightyboy fwd though? Won't matter, anything can be changed with a grinder etc, bodge spec. Thinking about alternatives, Suzuki Alto would be a good candidate as well.

I know of a guy with a few in Kal, pretty sure he has a shell sitting in his workshop gathering dust - might have some spares too.

Will try and get in contact with him for you and see if he is willing to sell - if so, I'll send you a PM with some contact details.

Mistikal, you got PM.

Brett, what is the exact motor, if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah Paganas, we'll try to do our best to find the Niki first. See, it's a Polish car, and I'm polish, so I'd prefer to have a Niki just for that reason haha...

There is one parked up in joondalup behind the academy, might be worth giving a knock on the door. personally id be looking for the classic fiat 500. although rear engine would be a bit of a pain. doubt u will find one of these for 1k though.

Yeh i was gonna say, it takes a bit more than a few beers to put a different driveline in a car.

However, i have a full toyota driveline in a mazda hatch. So if the dedication is there, you can do it.... Just need a LOT of patience
