Not exactly metal. Somewhere between stoner/drone/fuzz. Heavy as phuc either way. I've had the pleasure of seeing these guys perform this live, and it was one of the most mesmerizing experiences i've had. Wata the lead guitar (a small japanese girl), fkn slays her rock axe harder than any nu-metal band would even dream of. Anyways. Pretty hard to get into (first 9 or so minutes is virtually only guitar feedback!), plus the song is a whopping 30 something minutes long. For anyone who does watch it it's quite rewarding. However, i'd suggest getting the cd first.

Oh and can't beat the antics in this film clip. One of my all time favs:
