its about time for me to get a bigger turbo ive narrowed it down to the hks gt3037s pro but cant decide on the housing its for an rb22 dont no if the .68 will cause to much wheel spin or the .87 will be to laggy im leaning towards the .68 but some help would b nice ta.

Whats the goal of the car?

Street, strip, track?

If its street or track, .68, if its a strip car, .87

On an SR20, with a GT2871R, a .64 will spool 500rpm earlier, but at around 18psi and around 6000rpm, the .86 housing makes 25 more horsepower than the .64 (both at 18psi).

I guess you could scale that to a 3037 and 2.2 litre 'six .

haha thanks for that cplagz

that was with a trust td06h 20g with a 16c rear, Roy on sau uses the same turbo but with the baby 8c rear (the 16c is massive, better for a rb25/13b) and in comparison to my .63 rear'd garret gt3040r it was noticably bigger

trust TD06H-20G 16C left gt3040 .63 right

go the gt3040r if you want nice driveable responsive power! or if you dont mind a bit of lag but want big hp go a gt3582r.

if your seriously considering a .87 rear'd gt3037 i think a gt3582r garret would be a better choice..

i thort a gt35 wuld b way to big for an rb20.. Wots wrong with the 87 3037s pro? It wuld still b hitting full boost by around 4.5 rite?

its hard to say when it will make any sort of boost untill you try it.
what i mean is for what its worth going the .87 rear 3037, a gt3582r will most likely do the same plus much more..
plus the price of a gt3582 is MUCH cheaper. you could get a 6boobs/ETM mani and tial/turbosmart gate plus all the small stuff for the value of the hks turbo alone
