I passed the beta as a Barbarian, was pretty sweet, I'm glad I explored on my playthrough though because after one play I dont want to do it many more times because by the time I get the game I will be sick of those missions haha. Barbarian as usual is a one man army, I only needed to heal on the final boss, good for playing as single player. I'm not sure if I will use him in the full game or not.

For those who don't already know, there is a simple way to show others what items you have found.

Just press "Enter" for chat, Shift+left click the item you want to show, press Enter again to send the message. Shows up on the chat window, and anyone whom you shared chat with can see the name of the item. Everyone else can just left click on the item in the chat window and it will bring up the item stats.

Better than dropping the item and getting it stolen, etc lol

Yeah correct. Each player has their own "drop package" from monsters, chests, bosses etc.
So you can't steal other people's items, unless they purposely drop it after they have picked it up.

Your not playing properly, Its alot more diverse. Its good being able to change your skills because I find different setups work better depending on what your other team mates are. For example, as a barbarian if there is a Monk I can set all my skills to offensive and go in for high damage while the monk heals, if I have a witch docotre I set my "Scorpian got over here" chains so i can pull them one at a time so I dont get swamped aswell as setting my passive skills to high defense. Also you can change skills for different bosses that need certain tactics.

Scatman, well said. I'm rocking a barbarian at the moment in full DPS/Duel Wield spec. Tanking everything like a bawse and Stealthed is playing a Monk constantly keeping me healed in battle whilst dishing out some pretty stupid DPS. Other 2 classes are Demon Hunter and a Mage, works really well together. Boss fights are over in about 30 seconds or so.

This is what I feared the constant dumbing down by blizzard to their games it started in early wow, distributing points was soo great in d2 because it was your character you made it the way you wanted but now it's all dumbed down in d2 you could never respec once you chose that was itwhich I think is great again it adds uniqueness.

No doubt I'll be getting d3 because quality and action is great but the whole core is just boring.

Yeah i liked it better in diablo 2 how you could build certain characters certain ways with using your skill points. In diablo 3 all players are gonna have all the same skills and use the same skills as everyone else. Only thing that will make yours different to someone elses is the items you wear.

You adjust your character by your items. If you want a character with lots of health add more Amethysts to socket items - Its not hard. Have you guys even played the game? I have 2 setups I use - 1 for clearing the dungeons and one for bosses. I have certain items that adjust my stats saved in my chest for bosses. There is WAY more customization in Diablo 3, you can constantly change things and try new strategies depending on the enemy. In D2 you had what you had and that was it, click click click same old.

I had high expectation for the witch doctor, the pets you get sucks especially the dogs the AOE does shit damage and spam attack like spiders or firebomb thingy isnt as good lol..... might reroll

Had a good run with Mullmans last night. I was level 8 going to fight the skeleton king and mullmans jumps in fresh at lvl 1 lol. i gave him some goods to protect himself with and we flogged it. Also i cant believe how quick he lvled up. I think if someone new jumps in with you the game tries to lvl them up asap. when i reached lvl 11 mullmans was at lvl8.

All in all as Chris said it is way better playing with someone then single player. Especially if you are a different class to one another.

This game kills your perspective of time! Started playing at 6pm, next thing I know Tones, Mod and I are smashing it at 2:30am...wtf! That wizard that tones has on LVL39 is just insane! Makes my barbarian seem slow and useless.

Wow people are having hugely different experiences. I found the witch doctor to be stupidly overpowered, my mate was using him and around level 10-20 my barbarian just kept dieing as I had to be in the front rows and was getting wiped out, he just stood back and spammed dogs and stuff, also his golem is sick and the wall of zombies is good aswell. I guess he just used the right items?
Anyone else get half way through the game before realizing you can revive each other by clicking on the grave? haha...
We finished up at about 1:30am, Im a level 30 barbarian and partying with level 30 witch doctor and level 16 monk and we are at the end of the game. I started a demon hunter but feel like going compeltely different from barbs and going a wizard. I'll also play through on nightmare aswell to max out the barbs as he is pretty epic now, easily smashing my way solo through dungeons with no help fro witch doctor or monk haha.

One thing people tend to forget is there isn't any "Holy Trinity" i.e Healer, DPS, Tank. There never was for Diablo, every class is capable of surival and dishing damage, If someone dies in Diablo it's generally because THEY messed up, not because you didn't throw a heal down or hold aggro. In saying that though, with gear and skills you can sort of push yourself into certain directions in groups as our group (Stormtrooper, SpecR, Tones and myself) have been doing, Both Tones + SpecR have stacked everything to do with damage and less survivability making these guys absolutley insane glass cannons! Both Chris and myself being Barbarian and Monk have stacked for damage but naturally our gear has a lot of vitality/armor especially Chris's, with this in mind I'm sure he's opted for some more damage orientaited skills and less survivabilty knowing that I have thrown on some healing skills to keep the crazy bastard alive! This works pretty good though as a group as long as we can all keep alive we have bosses down in like 30 seconds even on nightmare!!

I'm really enjoying it as you can play with skills a lot, and tbh I'm finding it more fun that Diablo II. I left the guys last night around 12.30am and lvl 39 halfway through Act II (Nightmare) as I have work to do, I'm looking forward to joining some of you guys for game and seeing different play styles, then slamming my well placed Banner on top of you! (Coolest move ever) :D

Game is good. My wiz is set up for damage at the moment but I've been stock piling better armor ect incase it needed. With just under 700dps but around 800 armor any melee attack in nightmare is just messing me up big time. Don't think I could have him set up the way he is if playing single as I don't think I would get far.
