Fix gutter rash on chromies?

Got some bad gutter rash on my weels last night. went waay too close to a curb in a carpark and scraped the sides of my rims.

Any way to repair chrome ris that this has happened too? I seem to remember a while ago you couldnt, was wondering tho.

lol.. you dnt get marks on your rims from going to close... you mean u hit the curb??

If they are chrome man your fukd as you wnt match the chrome with out re-dipping the wheel.

If you want to get the rash fixd you can put the wheels up on a vertical borer and take light cuts to clean up the face of the rim or if you cnt get to that kind of machine you can do a rough job with a flap disk on an angle grinder. If the sratches are bad u might need to grind it back and fill them wth weld so when you turn/grind it back youve got some meat to play with. (allience rim repair in ozzy park do this type of work well)

That will still not take car of the mismatched colour where the chrome is gone.
