Hey,
Ive bought a set of wheels for le chaser, specifically these ones :
18 x 9 +48, 18 x 10 +45

However this set is also rather intresting, and im now considering these instead
18x8.5+30, 18x9.5+35

which ones are lighter?
unsure, i mean both are top notch jap brand wheels, to be honest im more concerned with strength and workmanship
there was an article posted here somewhere about stonger wheels being better then lighter ones when a 350z did a track run (lighter ones deformed slightly)

my 18 x 9 & 18 x 10.5 work meisters were lighter than my 18 x 8.5 & 18 x 9.5 work emotion xt7s.
there was an article posted here somewhere about stonger wheels being better then lighter ones when a 350z did a track run (lighter ones deformed slightly)
You'll never notice one rim flexing more than the other on the street, or any sort of track work that you'll be participating in.
You might notice it in top level motorsport, but thats about it.

i actually meant deformed after the car returned from the track, but yeh i figured id never notice regardless so what your saying is 100% correct, and even on the dragstrip id probally go back to stockies (from what i also vaugely understood about rim size and 1/4 times)

Volks/Work's etc only look really good when they have less than +20 offset.

emotions are a very heavy wheel...
definantly the meisters in this case, as said before the one piece volks need gtr offsets to look good!

if the volks were brand spankers and maybe in the goldish colour that would look bombed but otherwise the meisters are better imo

Lol~not for $20 bucks , not planning to sale it yet because it took me 7 months waited for this wheels from japan. I think LE37 and TE37 they look abit same, is just the TE37 you can get more agressive offset on it.

See the thing is, your car won't look like either of those cars shown in the pictures with the rims you've specified, because the offsets in those pictures look closer to the +12-18 range...

unsure of te37 offset but im assuming around +30, which is similar to the le37 set

the te's look around +22
Definatly more concave than the le37s in your pic.
Ive got a set of +30 te37's and they arent concave at all

Lower offset Terry.. Low offsets.
Go for the works as the LE37s look really boring. While I hate chrome on white.. They're better than the LE37s.
Couldn't you powder coat the centers of the Meisters down the track anyway... Go black center :)

Well go meisters, and then when you get bored powder coat them. Dont flame me if you cant powder coat them, but i'd give it a shot :D

that will look nice man... i ordered a set of 18" Works S1 for my STI... Black with chrome lip... :D
