Oi no shit man your weak as, I burst my appendix when I was 7 and ripped it out with a broken bottle I found while walking 17k's to school in the snow barefoot with a sheep in each pocket to keep me hands warm, thats if I could afford pockets!
I was working that very afternoon on the families dirt farm till midnight as per normal!

What a crazy few days!!!
It all started by him not feeling well with various 'cold' symptoms including a high temperature of 38.9 on Friday so i take him to the chemist on Saturday morning to get cold and flu tablets. It did the trick, the paracetamol got the temperature back to normal and the other drugs in the tablets made him sleep off the 'cold' he had.
Sunday we go riding in Ledge point all day and he was fine, only a slight temperature back again on 37.6.
Monday morning he said he felt unwell again with a headache but not too bad but he took the day off.
Tuesday morning he said he felt good but just had a bit of a stomach ache and went to work like normal. Around 9am the stomach pains got worse, 10am worse again and by 10.30am he rang his dad to pick him up because i was at school in the middle of our sport carnival. In the car on the way home the pain was really bad so he went to the doctor who then referred him straight onto a specialist/surgeon who sent him straight to hospital to have his appendix removed! He was operated on that night at 5pm.
I went home from work, packed him a bag for the hospital and went straight there so that i was in his room before he came out of surgery. He got wheeled back into the room and talked my ear off instantly as he does :) The surgeon said his appendix was nasty.
Just seemed sureal dropping him at work in the morning at 8am and then seeing him in the hospital that night at 6.30pm after having had an operation, just bizarre!!!
Anyways, he is doing well, just feels very uncomfortable and he will be home tomorrow morning:)

It didn't actually "burst", it was well on its way to doing that though...
Put it this way...it was too enlarged and infected to do a keyhole surgery, so I have a nice 5cm cut on my stomach now :)
The specialist tells me that the virus I caught, which caused me to get a cold, affected my appendix also.
fuck me!!! lucky it didnt burst mate, i hear people can die from it, at least your on the road to recovery, all the best! i hear jelly is good when ya had your appendix removed?
