Old movies Vs Originals

i just watched the remake of Deathrace its based loosly on the original 1970's Death Race 2000 and i thought the orginal was 100 times better and it got me thinkin,
Do you prefer the Oginals over the remake?
I have always thought the orginal Gone In 60 Seconds was heaps better than the remake, same as the original Italian Job.

I just think the new ones rely to much on CGI and makin big explosions so alot of the car stunts r lost and just loose that "wow" factor.

Mayb its just car movies tho as i thought the new Oceans 11 was on par with the original.

i watched old one recently, its soemtimes hard to compare them due to stuff liek the technology that was available at the time, the newer batmans just had more to work with, but either way dark kniight owned the original.

i watched the original longest yard wen it was on tv a while, prefer the newer one with adam sandler in it, bert renyolds was in both, played different characters though.

First one is hell dodgy 70s porn, without the porn.

Although it does hold the biggest crash scene ever made ( from memory)

You can usually buy it for a few bucks at red dot and shit. Same as the original Italian Job.

anything that kinda relies on special effects will be better now...

i worked in a video store for like 5 years, you would be suprised how many movies are remade all the time...and normally is the crap ones.

The new italian job wasn't a remake. They did the theft "Italian Job" style, they even say it in the film.
