The spider that has caught the bird is biger then the camel spider you have shown. also the camel spider is not really a spider.

Explains it being in Nth Queensland. Everything grows bigger up there.
In darwin we used to get Grasshoppers around 15-20 cm long, when they took off and flew they sounded like helicopters. Even bush Cockroaches were 10cm long as well, you needed to step on them 2 or 3 times to kill em.
Everythings bigger up there, fish, stubbies, beerguts, but unfortunately not women population.:td:

Haha I had to make it believable!
Yeah we at work (steel fabrication shop) we used to spear em with how welding rods, once they were on they used to spin in circles.
We used to put the cockroaches in other blokes welding gloves, lol it was piss funny to see them squirm.
Only problem with big bugs is big lizards, we used to have a daily visit from a few Goannas, they'd walk through the workshop looking for bugs. I shat my self when one walked over my foot while i was welding, i only felt its tail and thought it was a snake!
And your right about bigger tits up north 2, though the NT have more blokes than women (thanks army) so many have to miss out or pay (or go black but thats a forbidden topic).

Bullshit its forbidden.
If you know something, PLEASE give me chance to discuss.
I didnt mean anything regarding it being a forbidden topic here, i meant it in a manor as a few mates used to work away, building a couple of houses at communities, long roster, stick books not doing it for them at the moment etc..
It happens up there but no one likes to talk about it there( that is all :uhh: ).

Don't worry, only small spiders can get into your room.
Nothing to worry about.
Except the small spiders of course.
hoony
22-10-2008, 11:46 PM
^ the one's that crawl in your ears and lay eggs in your brain, they're the one's you gotta worry about
I'd be more worried about white tail spiders...
By comparison with other well-known Australian spiders, white-tailed spiders do not appear to be particularly numerous, but may be responsible for a disproportionately high number of spider-bites because of their habits. Unlike the black house spider and the redback which are often seen in or around dwellings in a web, the white-tailed spider wanders around and may be encountered unexpectedly. Of the 130 recently-monitored cases, several spiders had been picked up off the floor accidentally by short sighted persons thinking that they were something else. More than 60% of the victims had been bitten by spiders that had got into clothing, into folded towels and into beds. In several more cases they were in shoes.
my old man got bitten by one on his elbow, in 2 days it was twice the size and covered in a pussy swelling...fuck it looked painfull....

I was sitting on the computer looking at this thread last night and the cat's tail brushed past my leg. I nearly had a seizure.

My uncle used to own a tarantula many years ago, when I was a kid. Big hairy motherfucker. It used to climb up walls and drop down on ya. I was never looking forward to visiting them...

I dont understand spider phobias, I mean you can kill them buy flicking them or stepping on them, or a quick squirt of fly spray, in that case a baseball bat will fix that big fucker.
Snakes on the other hand are worthy of fear, those pingpingpingpings spawned from the devil himself, sent here to attack me and kill at any given chance, even the non poisonous ones grow poison just to kill me.

same deal as your snake phobia buddy. I'm even shit scared of daddy long legs and i KNOW they cant hurt me. Just the thought of them crawling on my skin gives me the heeby jeebys. They just look angry, little shits.
Snakes dont bother me in the slightest

Yeah same with me, I'm absolutely fine with snakes.
When it comes to spiders though I freak out if I see one. I get sweaty palms and start shaking & my skin feels all itchy and shit.

In relation to the white tails, I thought it is not the poison (so much) that causes necrosis but a bacteria transmitted off their fangs. I personally hate spiders very very very very much. Friggin redbacks are all over our place at the moment, particuarly in the shed. Buying some Mortein indoor/outdoor treatment tonight and I'm gonna put that shit everywhere!!!!

Not really a fan of either, but I'd prefer snakes over spiders. Compare the number of snake bites vs spider bites and I can guarantee you spider bites are far higher!
Can't see the little fuckers. Imagine going to outdoor dunny and getting bitten on the sack by a Red Back whilst taking a dump in the pitch black at midnight..... if that don't scare you then you got brass balls.

brown recluse and white tail have the same bite, can get same shit from few lizards and snakes.
like was said above its a flesh killing/eating bactieria. nothign to do with the spider or lizard itself, just lives in the mouth/fangs of the critter

Yeah but I can stomp a spider,a snake will turn around and possibly eat my whole leg in retaliation, then go for my family.

If its an STD I don't want it.
LOL
But if you get eaten, youll pass it on to the snake, thus wiping out its population as it spreads at an epic rate.

I can't believe none of you have heard of QLD bird eating spiders before... They are fucken huge. Generally eat big ass bugs etc but are known to snare and eat birds... hence the name.

White tails? Fuck white tails, man. Out in kingston der we got lots, had 2 crawl over my body while im laying in bed in the darkness... you feel this thing moving on your leg... and your like oh fuck and you basically have a spasm to shake it off and its a spider there.. sometimes theres no spider but you cant take chances IMO.
Too many redbacks and whitetails here..
