Got a mates 19th comming up this weekend and im looking at getting him a bottle of this evil liquid as a present but i dont want any of that cheap and nasty shit, i'm looking for something a little more top shelf.

Does anyone on antilag know of a place to buy good quality/genuine absinthe. Cost isn't a problem.

My shop carries a few different types of absinthe - but not that big of a range really - not that popular of a product. From memory the Re' store also has a decent range.

Dabel (The Devils Absinthe) is the shit you want. It is 70% alcohol and 10mg/liter, The strongest stuff you can get in the country legally.

I think you misunderstood... not having a go in the slightest.Even the locations where it was once brewed traditionally, are no longer doing so.

The legit absinthe.. common in the 1900's, is often only homebrewed nowadays. i wouldve thought attending those locations wouldve seen you through to success.

Bearing in mind this shit is like a historical trinket... a real cultural experience for those who have heard so much about the 'green fairy'. thus my interest.

You need to go to the Liquor factories, they still brew it "under the counter" as you say its banned.
If you went to the schnapps factory in Vienna, they do the absinthe there, but also under the counter, where you ask the old guy who does the tour, and instead of 20euro for a bottle, its 45euro.
I smuggled 2 bottles of 20euro and some rocket fuel which you had the other night, but my half bottle of genuine Absinthe, got blocked at customs.
Was uber pissed.
