Doesn't the Aristo come with a 2JZ already, or am I missing something here?

AFAIK there are a couple of different engine options, even a 4WD 1UZ. Not sure which one he has.

93 Aristo will have 1 of three engines.

2JZGTE
2JZGE
1UZFE

There is a good chance you already have a 2JZ in there.

well if you get a 2jz from a jza80 it wont fit
try find one from a js147 so it has the front sump
and they both have different water pumps so if you plan on using stock aristo cooling setup then itd be much easier with an aristo engine

sell it..then buy one with a 2j.makes sense and would save the coinage big time..

If its a 1993 Toyota Aristo, it must be a JZS147 or UZS143 and have either a 2JZ or a 1UZ in it from factory.

if you have the 1UZ, then the car will be 4WD. good luck mating the 2JZ to the 4WD if thats what you have.

its be cheaper to just turbo the 1uz motor you have
they are a very strong donk.

If the drive line holds up to the power, it would be a pretty interesting car

yeah definitely turbo 1uz ;) but the auto will probably require mods

charged 1uz may be the way to go also
been done a fair few times

The front transmission is bolted to the 1UZ sump and the driveshaft runs through it ala GT-R so good luck with getting a 2J in there

As has been said, turbo/supercharging the 1UZ is the way to go, if you actually go through with it you will have a very unique car

Sell and buy a 2j powered one if you want 2j power.

yeh plus the 1uz 4wd are a nice rare model, dont wack in a 2jz, either mod the 1uz, or buy a 2jz aristo already.
