i got my 2jz from adelaide jap and the gear box there are 2 types a short one and a long one you will find it hard to get a long one i had to make a dog leg shifter up it a bit of a pain because it sit about a 100mm forward from the normal shifter hole. i just searched forums and found one on here. hope this helps

Try getting one over from Sydney from SSS Automotive if you get stuck.
Dont go VVTI if your going big mods.. narrows ECU choice

Cant use Microtech, that I know, or Wolf (not that anyone in Perth would) and of course Power FC is out although they are almost no existant for JZA80 anyway or they are FUCKING expensive.
Finding a reasonably priced VVTi 2JZ will be a task though.

I've got a 2JZGTE (non-VVT-i), that has low compression on one cylinder if you're looking at building one up....

not with the VVTi though Tool ;)
Also, upgrading cams with the VVTi is very limited.
