I have a dillemma/dilema/dilemma/dillema (fuck knows)

So, to draw a pic in your head

Swirl Pot - fuel line - fuel fitting - 044 pump - feed lines

I had my car tuned with a fuel fitting that we think was around 11mm in diameter. We didnt like the fit because it was too long and made the line look untidy, so we changed that fitting ti a brass one which was not as long, but was also only around 8mm in diamter.

Since we did that, my car has been missing like crazy when on boost, its breaking down through the revs and it just aint happy. The problem is, we didnt think that changing that side of the pump to a smaller fitting would really affect the amount of fuel delivered because its only going into the pump, its not the feed side of the pump (if that makes sense).

We thought maybe plugs? but was wondering if someone could shed some light as to whether changing the fitting on that side could really create such drama...

Cheers

Matt

just get the 11mm diameter fuel line shorted to lenght to suit :)
pirtek/enzed (and even A1 Performance) can do that :)
solves all your issues :)

bosch pumps dont like any restriction or head on the inlet side... what tocchi said, except I'd suggest couplers or gogear +speedflow.

yeh, Speedflow fittings are cheaper than pirtek/enzed fittings

yeh already been there, the copper fitting was the smallest one they had, and they dont do 90 degree bends for the 11mm fitting and they cant shorten it :(

but you think that would mostly likely have caused the problem?
