big exhaust question

hi jus wondering if theres any downside if i install a 3 inch exhaust system on a little 2l honda engine.
mayb a stupid question but i have a 4.5 muffler with 3inch inlet sitting around.

yeah, you need serious mods to make it worthwhile on a small capacity n/a motor.

its not hard to put a 2.25 inch exhaust and get them to step it up to 3 inch right at the end , theyll just use a 2.25 to 3 inch adaptor,, then you wont have any issues except i recommend using a 3 by 5 inch perforated resonator at least 12to14 inch long in conjunction with the cannon, otherwise itll sound bad. exhaust shops will know what ur on about if you asked for that.. and itll sound good and give the best gains.
