Ok seriously now, my leads are fucked. I called toyota and they tlell me my car doesn't have leads and it runs off coilpacks, obviously
But what the fuck do I replace my leads with?
Do I need a complete new witing harness or can I replace with some topgun leads

Cheers

Mr upgrage, I worded this horribly and after an hour of tinkering I've come to this

The clips on the leads that go onto the coil packs are shot. So ideally I need an auto sparky to come out or something I assume

Toyota are still clear on the fack that these leads/wiring harness is non existant ad they don't sell it. Kinda shafted

Here is the Toyota part number for the individual connectors - this is for the 2JZ ones which fit perfectly (exactly the same coilpacks for 1 & 2JZ) and are much more robust than the 1JZ counterparts.

90980-11246

IIRC they are somewhere around $6 each.

Also they are easy enough to do yourself, you just slide the pin out of the old one and slide it into the new one where it will lock itself in place.

check the "stalk" for cracks, also change the plugs, 1j's foul pretty badly.
also, check make sure the polarity of the connectors is right and that you didnt inadvertantly unplug any other connectors

I'm not sure about the old 1jz's as I have a VVTi one. VVTi's have 3 coilpacks and 3 leads that go off that coilpack to the other cylinders.

When my car was running terribly rough, we tracked it down to to the leads arcing out, so they needed replacing.

Since Toyota wanted $50ea for the 3 leads and a 2-3 week wait, I asked around at who could do them.

I took my 'waste spark' leads to chris mills performance, they sent them to Eagle to get custom ones made up. Cost me about $65. Go them back within a week.

They've been running well ever since and this was 3 years ago.

Not sure if this will help in anyway, but if you need something made up you might be able to see them regarding it.
