Been going through all the threads around here about tyres, and thought I would start one that is basically a "user review" thread.
IE post up your thoughts on previous/current tyres. Levels of grip in wet and dry, tread life, what sort of torture you put them through, what kind of $ were spent and sizes as well.
And please (if this thread works) if someone posts up that they like a certain tyre and you disagree, dont just say "that tyre is shite" write a review on it.
WHAT: Marangoni Mythos
SIZE: 245/35/19 and 275/30/19
PRICE: dunno came with the rims, but been quoted around 700 each for the rears
THOUGHTS: Good grip wet or dry, long lasting (I've put over 10K on the and the previous owner had 5k on them, and still a good couple mm above the markers on the rear) Held up well at Wanners.
USAGE: Spirited daily duties (hills etc) and the odd track outing.
WHAT: Nangkang ns2's
SIZE: 245/40/18 and 275/35/28
PRICE: Dunno they were on the car when I bought it
THOUGHTS: Good if you do no form of "performance" driving. IE good for your grandmother. Like strapping on a set of ice skates in the wet, and only marginally better in the dry. Lasted ages though.
