Gday
well im doing a sr to vg gearbox conversion at the moment and ive been told to use the longet possiable thrust bearing carrier possiable.
just wondering if anyone knows which nissan had the longest thrust bearing carrier, that would also suit the vg30 gearbox.
i found this but its in japanese and i cant make sense of it even with an online translater...
diagram:

* i think from the diagram and me having a guess, the s14 one is the longest? will this fit the vg box?
thanks for any help

Our sr with OS twin and VG box needed shortest carrier of them alll . Longer carrier was up against front of box n touching P/Plate ..

do u know the width of the os twin? cos then what i can do is measure the width of the hks and see if theres much difference?

Box is back on ready to install ... Easy way to sort out is have fork sit in the middle and be sure it moves both ways :)

well i just been down in the shed having abit more look into this and ive found out that from the back of the thrust bearing to the edge of the vg30 carrier is 25mm and that a s13 sr20 one is 35mm long which i think will get me out of trouble. does anyone know of anything longer just in case?
edit: btw does anyone know wat size thrust bearing to be using with the hks gd pro twin plate. ive asked everyone i know and they got no idea, ive tried emailing a few places with not much luck either...
here are some very shit quality pics (sorry)
as u can see from the first pic looks like the bearing someone used before me was wrong or is that normal?

the pic below shoes the smallest thrust bearing i can find... which is basically the same as the pattern in the pic above
