Hey fucks,

hoping to upgrade my speakers with my left over tax money now and i was having a look at the stock ones and there positions and there harder to get at than the counter at a bottle shop on pension day ...

Car - MA70 Supra

from what i can find there is 2 x 4" in the rear of the car in the hatch/boot section tucked up the top near the seat belt retractor ... two speakers in the panel inbetween the door and 1/4 windor in the rear of the car and i cant figure out how to get the trim off to get at them and the easiest are the 2 in the front of the car on the door ... but again there kinda tucked away beind the door frame ....

now i can prob get to and upgrade the front in the doors .... but the rest im thinking of cutting my losses and just disconnecting them and putting a 10 or 12" sub and amp in the boot and a pair or 6x9" in boxes as well ... i cant think of anywhere else to mount the 6x9's.

any ideas ?

Don't, with a decent 10 or 12 and a Decent set of speakers up front, splits if you can find a suitable mounting point for the tweeter, you have no need for ones in the rear. just cut the wires to rears

yeah 6x9's might be a bit of over kill .... for a pretty big car the cabin aint that big at all so i rekon killer fronts and a 12" in boot should be ok now

cheers

Hey Mate

I don't know how much you wanna spend, but I would recommend a decent pair of 4" Splits (Like Maestro), 4ch Amp (basic alpine will do) and a good quality 12" sub in a shallow box...

PM me if you want cheap cheap :)

alpine amp

seriously some very good splits up front (Spend a decent amount on them) and a sub at the rear with amp to run it all is all u need.
no point running 6x9 with subs. they will just clash and sound shit

whats ur budget?
