Guys,
Thinking of getting a new set of rims for the falcon & want to see what's out there besides the regular tempe selection to suit...
Have taken quite a liking to black centred SSR Professors & Enkei GTC01's but am unsure of where to source them from? Any suggestions on other hot rims to suit or best places to buy them would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers :D

57SPRO's are decent with dish... Where to get?
SSR Professors are IIRC not being made anymore so you'd have to check places like Yahoo Japan auctions. And if you need someone to bring them in, use http://jessestreeter.com/
He can even source new parts at good prices, cheaper than the likes of nengun etc
Are you after dish or tough track rims? lots of spokes, 5/6 spoke

I'd chase 2nd handers unless you have a load of cash to spend.
GT-Cs like the set huy is selling i've seen on a xr6t ute before, looks good... not cheap tho

Wouldn't mind something with dish as i currently have Enkei RP03's on at the moment. Not committed though...

Tried a set of 20 x 10" GTC's on & they looked shit hot! Only problem was they were wrong offset, as will be most second hand rims off jap cars unfortunately :(

What were they off? Or what was their offset?

Unsure, they were at JPC

Reason I ask is offset will vary between different jap cars.
What fits perfect on a GTR, will need guards rolling and more camber on a GTST etc.
Just trying to see if there is a common jap offset that will suit you, as most jap rims manage to sell for well under what they are worth brand new.

Ah ok cool.
Standard rims on mine are 19 x 8.5" with +36 offset. Wanting to go 19 x 10" at the rear & 19 x 8.5" fronts

nissansilvia.com click on sponsors and for sale, normally quite a few jap rims for sale, especially by the sponsors on there

piss easy. those 34R rims of mine are 18x9 +30 ... front could fit more in, so could rear.. (without rolling guards)
so as long as you dont go "less" than +30, you should be fine

You want to stick with those offsets or more flush/aggresive?
x8.5 +25/30ish is quite common, i ran x8.5 +25 on my s15, x9.5 +30 on the rears

what size are you after? i'm guessing 17's are probably too small, but my set of 17x9 +20's would fill the guards perfectly. :D

are your guards the same as his tocchi?
if so then i think the limit for you would be like 19x9+10 without guard work - but that would require somehting like a 215/40 and a bit of camber then somehting like 19x9+20 you could run a larger tyre.
use this site to work out offsets and where things will sit under the guard:
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp?CWW=9&CWO=10&NWW=10&NWO=25&strut=35mm+LESS&wheeloutside=RETRACT+by+9mm
so on the outer side of the rim..19x9+10 = 19x10+23
19x9+10 = 19x8.5+4
19x9+20 = 19x10+33
19x9+20 = 19x8.5+14
why do you want to run 8.5" on the front? (it seems a bit small)

also not sure how big your brakes are but one thing about big dish jap rims is that they will most of the time have very little caliper clearance, just due to the design
if your going to buy from japan.. definately go through streeter. some guy on ns.com was quoted like $1500 shipped for certain rear wide guards through nengun.com (big aftermarket jap part exporter), but streeter found him the same ones, brand new, for $600 shipped - www.jessestreeter.com
buy stuff through him off japanese yahoo auctions, this is the link for seaching 19" 5 stud wheels:
http://list1.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/2084195255-category-leaf.html
its a bit hard to navigate at first but basically its alot of copying into google translate.
if you want to search widths, ad a 'j' to whatever size. so for 10" wide wheels just type 10j
heres a couple of ones in nice offsets

More aggressive is fine... Just want to be able to run fat tyres without 15 degrees of neg camber

17's are waaaaaayyyyyyy too small mate! The 18" enkei's i have now look tiny enough :(
