my friend just bought a 1992 sileighty (strawberry face) which has the T25 turbo.i want to know what can be achieved with this turbo i.e. max power (state fly or ATW).i also heard that the T28 off the s14 or s15(RB) is a worthwhile bolt on upgrade, how much power differance is there to the t25? and how much would they cost 2nd hand?.
cheers lewis.......................

but they are well out of their range. save some coin and go for a t28 from s14a or s15.
if you can stretch the coin get a gt25

'i also heard that the T28 off the s14 or s15(RB)'
S15's dont have RB's dude but either of those t28's from those cars would be perfect.

Using a hiflow t25g or S14 or S15 turbo with a better intercooler a decent exhaust and a remap of the standard ecu (less fuel, more timing, pulp) you can get 170rwkw which is about the end of the standard maf and injectors. This is using 15psi.

ok i just noticed this - so which is it - sil80 or a strawberry face - strawberry face being s15 front 180 rear, where as sil80 is silvia front 180 rear

it is still technically a sil80, the s15 being a silvia and all :)

its a s15 front 180sx rear.
engine is still 100% 180sx so there are no s15 parts other than the bonnet ,lights ,bumper. front guards are fibreglass so i assume that this conversion cannot be done with the guards off a s15.

i think he means the s14 had the silvia t28 with a BB core but the S15 had a RB T28 with a plain bearing core

no the S15 guards dont fit on the 180 different shape so fiberglass ones have to be used

so with bigger injectors and z32afm, u can squeeze a bit more power out?
