Hey guys wondering if there is any auto electricians on here that would want a cashy or even give some idea of what’s going on with my car as im stumped.

Iv got a 94 Magna and a week ago I replaced the head lights and parkers (high beams were fine so I left them).
They worked fine for about 4 days then I noticed that only my parkers were on when I pulled up to a shop and saw the reflection in the glass, two seconds later the headlights came back on by them selves. Then from the next morning they don’t work again and all I have is parkers now. The high beams also don’t work now.

I have checked all fuses, checked all the plugs on the headlights. There is no power going to the headlights or high beams, only the parkers. I have no idea what’s going on or where else to look. Surely the problem can’t be that complicated.

Any help would be great.
Cheers, Steve.

Checked the earth wires in the loom for the headlights ? Didn't pinch them anywhere you shouldn't have ?

Dumb suggestion and I'm sure you've checked it, did you check the relays/relay ?

have you checked the bulb?

and see if its blown again? (shit happens, even if its brand new etc etc)

otherwise stick the prongs of multi meter down the plug, and see if u get any voltage coming out of them (while the headlights are turned on obviously)

there is usually an overheat circuit breaker in the headlight circuit, this is probably the cause, they go faulty with age. if your around wanneroo area ill have a look. pm me.
