As above, one of our storeman has a bad back is leaving us in two weeks.
So we require a new one for a asap start.
You will be working for the largest independent truck and bus spare parts company in australia. We specialise in european and japanese truck and bus spares. We supply the public transport depots with their spare parts and have a special contract with SCT where we have our own warehouse out at the their depot to keep up with the demand of parts for the buses. Along with sales to major workshops and transport companies both metro and country through to phone and counter sales to the smallest owner drivers.
The storemans job will entitle, picking packing and sending stock, dealing with freight companines/making bookings, reciepting and putting away stock orders, processing stock recalls. organising our delivery driver on her delivery runs twice a day.
Store experience preferred but would be willing to train up a young person willing to learn. Being fit is a must, must be able to lift decent loads, as you will have to lift heavy items such a brake drums, clutch kits etc. Forklift licence is preferred but not required however if successful candidate doesnt have one we will be sending you to get one.
its a small team environment with great friendly staff, we run a team of 3 in the warehouse (2 storeman, 1 driver) and 6 in the sales office including myself. Everyone is friendly and easy to get along with. Id say pay would be decent, the company pays well i think, hours would be along the lines of 8-430pm mon-fri, plus there is bonuses per month if we make budget.
