more out of interest then anything, can anyone confirm if these rotors and hats are project mu's or some other jap brand
despite being used with fuck all lip and slight surface rust - they measure 31.0 mm yet are stamped with a min thickness of 28 which seems alittle odd
only other numbers stamped on the ring are PT014L 472 F3c

This would be the minimum workable size they can be machined down to I would say

yeah - what i was gfettign at is....
usually a 32mm rotor has a 30mm min thickness, so if my rotors are worn to 31, perhaps they were 32 to start with - meanign they have 4mm of acceptable wear, which doesnt sound right

do you know what car they come off, as if you dont then just measure teh centre bore dia, total height , total dia, and stud pattern, then go online to rda or dba and run the numbers over a similar suspected rotor online.
But for brands sake meh :dunno: they look frustrated colour to me

u agree they deff project mu rings bart? the castings/veins look identical and they also have that black finish that projec mu advertise. wouldnt be supprised if they a generic pattern shared by a few other companies
I had purple project mu's on the front of my 32, your hat's definatly arent project mu's and I dont think the rings are
main difference I can tell is the veins on yours end flush to the outer edge of the disc, mine recessed abit

mscr is the code for mu's two peice rotors, doesnt match up to chris's part number

Almost
Its the scrap thickness
Once they get down to this you discard
Not able to actually machine them to minimum legally
And the thinner they are the longer the stopping distance so you don't want them wearing too much
For each mm off the original thickness you can expect an increase in stopping distance of up to 1m
Anyway... doubt they are Mu either
10 bolt is a Brembo pattern (usually 205/206mm) but they aint them either
Lots of "home brand" flat rotors available nowdays
I have some purple hats just like that for a GTR to sell :)

ended up finding that the brake kit was put together through Biot in japan... so assuming they make their own hats/brackets and use some1 elses rotor... dont suppose anyone has heard of this company and know if they use project mu rotors?

assumed to much then by the looks of it then... hard to imagine a company that makes up f50 brake kits would make their own rotors rather then outsource them....
but now that i know they are available, makes my descision if i sell them or not (for somethign more common/cheaper such as stoptech) alittle harder
700 a pair for replacement rotors not bad i guess....
wonder if they any good
