Hello All,

As many of you may have heard; A bushfire swept through the outskirts of Toodyay destroying many houses and devastating many farms/livestock.

This bushfire has hit close to home, and I am sure you all know someone who has been affected by this fire.

Running on Empty Car Club is organising a Fundraiser Cruise to raise some much needed money for the people in Toodyay who have lost everything.

Details of the cruise are as follows:

Date: Saturday 9th January, 2010
Meet Point: Causeway Car Park, Cnr Causeway & Riverside Dr
Time: 8pm
Depart: 8:45pm

$10 Per Map. All money raised from the event will NOT be held by Running on Empty Car Club. ALL money will be given straight to the Toodyay community.

please spread the word.

See you all there!

Cheers,

Kia
President

If you want to know how long cruises go for and where they go to, then go to the first point, get a map and figure it out.

Cops troll these forums and saying where cruises are gonna go in the public forum is just asking to get in serious trouble.

helipad is averaged sized.. could work
city west might have been better for a cruise hoping for a 'large' turnout??? just as central. etc etc..

but +1 at what mick said.

There is no 'helipad carpark' at Burswood.

That was back way before the carpark was renovated - it's now half it's original size, maybe smaller.

Was an alright cruise actually for a good cause anyway. Only problem i reckon was the really short legs and 8 meet points or something. Otherwise had a good night.

Would have been sweet to have longer legs and less time at meet points. Was still good though. :)

Left after Carousel, have to attend a wedding today.

Are you talking about the Tsunami Cruise with UCCC?

All the main staff are from UCCC, the Club President is an original Staff member of UCCC who used to do the maps for them etc so, perhaps find the facts before you go running your mouth!

Why the name calling? Does it make you feel like a better person? Well - it shouldn't. You just look like a dip shit from the outside.

The Police were notified about the cruise prior to it taking place, which is why no-one was stickered, hooned etc. He gave the map so that people didn't get stickered/hooned.

Grow up, Keyboard Hero.

Didn't some people get stickered and a guy got reckless?

There were a couple cops here and there from what I saw - I left after Carousel - but none that did anything. One cop car drove through the car park at Gateways but left.

I think the guys that got stickered were from the Commodore group side? My mate almost had a yellow put on his.

No, no-one got stickered. And, 2 people were almost hooned, the guy may still be getting a fine or something.

no UCCC ran a charity cruise for the victorian bushfires. Pretty sure despite repeated requests for proof that the money went to charity nothing was produced.

Pretty much same story you've already started. we handed over the money to some guy to buy food who isn't a charity so we therefore have no receipt so you've just got to trust us the money went to the right people.

jaffa
11-01-2010, 10:42 AM
