to stop me killing the spotted thread, you lot missed out.

akf6 and i entered and had a ripper time.

dont get me wrong, you dont really fit in unless your wearing black jeans, shirt/flano, hat and have a beard and bulk tats,which we werent but there was no hostility from anyone. didnt appear to be a massive amount of pre-game organisation from the event staff, but i think it added to the enjoyment of the weekend, not been told every 2 seconds what to do and were to be. everyone pretty much regulated themselves and stuck to the no static burnouts rule.

some very impressive cars there and the overall calibre was very good, i think the 2 hr drive to get there would put off your unit stick clad commo's etc from turning up.

we new we were in trouble only bringing a spare pair of tyres each once we got to the first corner as you see this, which turned out to be pretty much the view from my windscreen the entire weekend.

I think us as a club should get behind this, if the next few years are anything like this year everyone will have a ball. Much more laid back then MV and PC. Be warned though, you need HEAPS of spare tyres. You can do as long a power skids as you please

Highly doubt they will introduce drifting, its Boganfest... maybe like an exhibition in between events though? Definately get behind it Rhys, just please someone go on the pad and not just stick to the track events.

Gazza Nats. BEST EVENT EVER.

I had really low expectations going to Gazza Nats and managed to drag Ross (tinyplums) along as well in his beast. Together we went through 12 tyres.

Burnouts anyone. I could not believe it. The cruises were burnout central. Any where you think you could do a burnout you do it.

When I went in the powerskid comp I thought "oh yeah one run and that's it", nope, you get one hour of constant burnouts.

To end the weekend I came 2nd in the Go to Whoa and won $200 cash, a big hamper full of goodies and a good sized trophy. Ross was crowned as Dyno King and won cash and a trophy as well.

A big thanks to Matt (esky), Ross, Rob (From MT) and Rhys. Without these guys my tyres would not have been changed so quick and I wouldnt had had that many tyres to go through.

Oh and Ross + F6 + External Gate + 3rd gear power skids down the straight = WIN.

There were alot of shocked people seeing what our cars can do. Best part was that the event was not biased to V8's like PC and MV.

Definately vouch for alot of shocked people jealous of both your cars + FINNY on the pad. Luckily i recognised the cars before hand haha.

funny thing was that the driver breifing didnt fill me with much confidence as it was lacking organisation to say the least, that and adrian and i were the only ones no wearing black. but everyone pretty much self regulated and it ran smoother than any event i`ve been to before. maybe the fact that the average age was a fair bit higher? no p-plater hero's etc. also limited to 200 cars, not just a cram as many entrants as we can for coin exercise.

was a pretty decent day down there,range of cars was good (a little lite on the imports) only real thing i can fault on was i had to sit on a limestone grandstand.powerskids on the front straight were sweet as..shame i didnt have my camera.

I thought the weekend was great.

I had fuckall sleep but i loved the bulk skids and the crazy shit that was going on.

My favourite moment was when George did two full 360s in a straight line, full speed, mid burnout AND kept driving! EPIC!!!

Awesome effort from all involved too.

I will chuck some pics up as soon as i get a few processed.

bullshit. i was over there as it was in the shade and had better viewing, they asked to see all of our stamps and tickets and no one was told to leave. wish we stayed there all day, pretty sure i have 3rd degree burns on my neck.

mate entered his 400ci 6/71 hj ute, melted the shifter cable on his first cruise and spent the rest of they day scouring the south wet for a new one.......no one had one. not even the major sponsor.

none the less, def entering a car next year.

And yeah mates car WAS a VT, has been tarted up with VX gear... was hitting just over half temps, sunday ran a bit hotter.

Its a ls1 with a manual behind it.

He also built WPN VH, the new owner put the LS1 gear in it though, much better then the old holden anchor! Fucking mint car!

Mashed all his rims/tyres on Saturday and 5 wheel studs... luckily i have a hefty stocky collection at home haha.

FEAR also lunched his motor, piston escaped the block... RUFFAZ also had an early end to the weekend...

The purple BA XR8 is a local dudes car, picked up a heap of awards... lots of attention to detail, hes got more plans aswell.

KAL SPL: what happened to your mates VN [ON ACID] ?? it always seams to die like its not tuned properly...

Was down in Collie camping at stockton dam which is on the same road as the track it was good to float around in the ski boat listening to motors on song.. I think that white rotor was camping around us as were a few other cars.

ps does anyone know the owner of 'new sux' the orange HQ style side.

Its only been running for few months and hasnt had any track time , it was running fine the Sat day but then Sat night in the burnout comp the fuel pressure dropped right off because the difference in atmosphere.
Sun morn it ran sweet again then sun last cruise it just stopped after a big throttle smash and wouldnt start again , it was trailered home today , diagnosis still unknown , bit sad but you get that with new cars.

That and GT351XB which I saw at revheads...that car will do me nicely, thank you. Good skids, mean classic looks (fave old oz ford is XB coupe), massive engine/blower, terrible economy. Perfect weekender!

In the defence the water did come from a fire truck on this occasion but I was also gob smacked they used water on a red hot motor , least it was fucked already :lol:

There were alot of shocked people seeing what our cars can do. Best part was that the event was not biased to V8's like PC and MV.

I remember when MV used to be the way Gazzanats was.

The biggest plus is entrants will be hand chosen and capped at 300 every year regardless of how many request entry.
Hopefully the distance to get there is just far enough to keep the cock heads away that are only there to break the rules and ruin everyones weekend.

Ah, yep. Fair enough. I went to PC last year and it wasn't V8 biased from what I saw. The couple of cars I saw get busted from doing stupid shit on the track were v8's =P

Also had a few people comment on my car and others. If anything the spectators were the morons lol. Watching the burnouts They'd curse the jap cars, even though there were some turbo'd 6 oz cars on the pad haha. Muppets =)
