Hey guys,

looking at this B4 liberty with a stroker kit (2.2litre)
as im more of a nissan person please excuse silly questions.

the question is the current owner says it is a 2.2litre stroker but cant prove it as it was purchased from over east. Now obviously opening the engine to check is out of the question so I am wondering if there is any other way you can work out if it is a stroker or not. I was thinking that as it has a Haltech Interceptor ECU a tuner/workshop may be able to have a look at the settings in the ecu or something to identify that it is setup for the stroker.

your assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Take the sump off, then get someone to know what they're looking at to inspect the components.. they'll be able to tell you whether the crank is a stock item by looking at the counterweights, and the conrods should be aftermarket too.

or measure the stroke with a screwdriver down the spark plug hole

As fozzy mentioned, drop test will confirm bore length. Also check if its an EJ20 or EJ25 there are several ways a 2.2L can be achieved with the dak daks.
