Have they been resprayed or powdercoated at some stage?

Rim manufacturers won't warrant repainted rims because they believe the prep and baking can compromise them in some situations.

has been a knock there previously, who knows how hard. I was just going to get alliance to fix that up and get them sprayed again.. Guess not.

They have been powder coated gloss black before I purchased them.

I rarely ever drive the car, only been driving it the past couple of weeks whilst my daily is getting fixed up, just to work.. same route I take daily, no big pot holes.

Ive read powder coating and reduce the strength of a forged wheel because the wheel gets heated up and it fucks the the original annealing process from when it was originally forged.

spoke to shannon's, at this stage they are prepared to buy a new set, See what happens tomorrow when I call them back to lodge a claim, I called JPC today and they have a brand new set here in Perth.

Called Shannons today, Peta answered :P. They are open till 4 on Saturdays and 2 on Sundays.

Shame about the wheels, hopefully you can get it sorted out. You are lucky nothing bad happened assuming you have been driving on them like that for the past few weeks.
