I reckon i might have to set fuel pressure with a gauge in the FPR, then once I get it set to 60psi, depressurise, remove gauge, replace gauge with fitting to returnless line to engine rail.
Sound about right?
I can scan up a quick sketch if that was stupid or confusing...

Want to use the factory LS1 rail if I can get away with it, and I have been told by a few people it's easy as anything to set up. Don't know enough about the two options to make a proper list of pros and cons, only thing I know of is fuel temp is higher with a returnless setup but I'm running it N/A so I really don't think it'll matter too much..
Have a read..

Thanks, good read.
Looks like I'll need another 8mm nipple for the SARD reg since I won't be running a gauge from it.. are these readily available anywhere?
Enzed or Pirtek will surely have something suitable.. I've always bought my barbed screw-in fittings from there.

From LS1 forum
This is what I'll be doing:
permanantly fit a gauge
helps heaps down the track if u have to diagnose a prob
easiest way i describe a fuel sytem for ls1 ls2 etc is
from efi pump run high press fuel line directly to motor
now anywhere along that line cut it and fit a t piece
off that t piece run a hose to a pres reg then from reg back to tank
preferably back of car is best spot for press reg as its out of the way
but if u have ti fit it in engine bay it still works the same
some press regs have another fitting so u can fit a gauge
