hi everyone
first of all its a nissan 180sx sr20det with:
550cc power enterprise injectors (less than 2 weeks old)
splitfire coilpacks(12 month old)
power fc and other usual mods like fmic, bosch044 etc
i got the car dyno tuned the other week, everything went fine but the iacv started playing up so i decided to give it a clean with carby cleaner, this made things alot worse so i decided to remov e the intake runners and iacv and give it a proper clean, cleaned it up and put everything back on with new gaskets. tried starting the car and it cranks but doesnt fire.
iv definatly got spark, fuel pump is definatly priming, iv pulled the fuel line off the rail and theres plenty of fuel going into the rail but nothing coming out of the injectors. each injector has 12v when key is on ign but theres no pulse when cranking over.
on the hand controller it reads:
airflow 420mv
igntiming 3deg
injduty 0.4%
any ideas whats going on?
cheers

Have u got the wiring all plugged in correctly and nothing is loose?
Also if u have a led put that into the plug that goes onto the injector to double check there is deff no pulse.
My guess is cas?

i coulnt find them LEDs anywhere, tried autopro, auto1, repco, mals, auto parts store, but would it not be the same as using a test light?

No test light won't work as u can't get a test lights earth I to the injector plug. Just a run of the mill led will work go to jaycar and get ur self a few there cheap as.

Oh btw just had a thought. Have u set up the latencies etc on the power fc?

I didnt set up the power fc, the tuner did all of that. It was running fine until I pulled the intake runners off. Thats what I dont get

just baught some LEDS as i couldnt find noid lights anywhere so i stuck them in and i noticed that when i was touching the LED whilst it was in the injector plug it lit up slightly, i even tried putting both LED legs into 1 wire and did the same thing but on the pulse wire it faded away slowly (this is with the key off) is this normal? or does it mean iv got a short somewhere? also when cranking the LED on cyl 3 light up twice and then went away

just test each plug separately. put one leg of the LED into one pin and the other leg into the other pin, and crank, it should light up/flash. do this for all four injector plugs to make sure each plug is getting a pulse.
if they are, then look at your injector plug firing order. sr20's firing order is 1-3-4-2.
also are the power enterprise 550cc injectors are direct oem replacement style injector? i.e : u didn't have to cut the plugs off and change them?
if you did have to change the plugs, make sure that every single wire going to each plug has its 'polarity' the same. eg: + - + - + - + - and not something like - + +- etc..
One last thing i can think of is if you have a power fc, with the hand controller navigate to the section where it shows the injector values. (google it if your not sure how to get there and check the following:)
'injector correction'
Formula = stock injectors CC / new injectors CC
so in your case F= 370cc (redtop s13 sr20) / 550 = 0.672cc x100 = 67.27 %
if you cant do decimal places on the power fc just round it off to either 67 or 68 percent.
then check the 'injector latency'
from what i remember the stock 370cc injectors have a 0.70ms (millisecond) latency and from a quick google search i found that the power enterprise 550cc injectors have a latency of 0.85ms.
formula: New latency - old latency therefore 0.85-0.70=0.15ms
input that value in the injector latency correction.
if you have the time, double check the latency's on the standard injectors and the power enterprise injectors and if need be re do the maths.
