Looking for some recommendations / place to start looking research wise for a possible turbo upgrade from vg30det standard snail. Doing a engine conversion into 4x4 so will be having to do exhaust from scratch (and cooler/intake piping) so now's really the time to decide wether to go with the stock turbo or fit something else.

Being an offroad 4x4 i don't want something thats going to be to laggy, doesn't need to be a big power figures aim. Just looking for something thats gonna be a bit more fun out in the bush and dunes.

At this stage planned supporting mods will be fmic, fuel pump and reg, cleaned injectors or upgraded, and possibly a afm and nistune or aftermarket ecu.

I've got a stock VQ30 turbo for sale , will spool fast because its ball bearing and can pull good numbers. Being t3 flange it would be easy to upgrade to a gt30 or 35 if you wanted to get a bit crazy down the track

The vg30 turbo will out perform the vq30 turbo. You can get the standard vg30 exhaust housing machined out to suit a gt3071 which is a fairly straight forward swap.

std turbo should make more than enough power for a 4wd.. you dont want to much power that u start destroying everything else. Very interested to see how this goes
