I have waited 10 years to see these guys, so pumped!

A group of my good mates are fucking obsessed with U2. One mate went to both Melbourne shows, both Sydney shows and will be attending both Perth shows also.. my other mate rescheduled his wedding so he could attend Sydney and Perth shows.

Even worse.. the third one of my mates who is obsessed went to every show in every state so far, and to top it off, he walked out after the first show finished and lined up for the next nights show and slept on the footpath.. so he could get a good spot. Apparently he wasn't the only one either, hundreds did the same thing.

U2 have a shitload of looper fans, I saw them in Sydney last time they came but that was more of a convenient excuse for going interstate to run a muck for a week and not have to see any of the victims again. Highly recommended!

People follow them fucking everywhere and the Boner worship is ridiculous. They're a good band and put on a good show but fuck that, gotta be something better to spend all your time and money on!

Going to the concert. Have no interest in U2. But they are one of the only true remaining 'mega-bands' if you can call them that. So would like to say I've been to one of their concerts. The set-up they have bought is truly amazing - it's massif. In saying that, I'm more pumped for Jay Z.

Let's face it though - getting boong-drunk on a Sunday is the real motivation for me.

Fan of U2 without being a fan of Bono. Saw Popmart at burswood 10 years ago, was huge, and expect the stage show to be even better this time (they had to cut down the size of the stage to fit under the dome last tour).

Will be interested to see JayZ, not being a huge hiphop/rap fan.

Actually more of a muse fan than U2, but the group ended up tih tickets to U2 for sunday night, and it was too hard to swap things round.

As far as the band obsession thing goes, I know a guy who took a month off work and followed Tool around a couple of years ago when they did the BDO and sideshows - he saw every one of their Aus/NZ shows, including BDOs.

so what did those who attended think? Jay Z should of had a better song line up, not many people seemed impressed at his music..

major devo tho, I got there nice and early and got a spot up front about 2 meters from the stage bono and the edge walk around during the show, waited and blocked off people from stealing my spot for a good 5 hours, for the misses to start to feel faint 15 min before U2 came on because of the lack of air and humidity and she wanted to go up the back where she could get some air.... walking through the crowd all I got was 'are you fucking crazy, you will never get back up here"... yep.. sat up the back of the stadium the whole show :( try again in another 10 years I guess

stayed for most of U Poo...spent too much on ticket not too....good spectical but i just couldn't get into the music. ended up missing the last 3 songs as we bounced to beet the hords exiting
