SNIFFER dogs will be out in force at the Future Music Festival this Sunday as police respond to Arena Joondalup's biggest ever crowd.

It is the first time Arena will have hosted "Future", and is expected to draw a sell-out crowd of almost 40,000 fans, making it not only the biggest festival this summer, but the biggest ever hosted at the ground.

Joondalup Police Station officer-in-charge Craig Wanstall said sniffer dogs would be used at Joondalup train station and around the entry to the event.

The increased police presence will also include mounted officers and extra patrols through the Joondalup CBD.

I could not of said it better. After having purchased the album back in 1995 with many assocatied memories with the album, it was a brilliant performance. I also managed to get a front row seat. Another tick of the bucket list.

However it was a dissapointment from the very start with no venue parking, no direction to the parking and the fucking coppers could not even point you in the direction of the parking (if any). For an 18+ event, most people there where acting like a bunch of 12 year olds. I'm not usually a violent person but on 2 occasions I nearly let rip at particular individuals who could not respect other people around them and their belongings.

At first I thuoght the venue was ok, because of the banking of the ovals it was alright to sit there and listen...but that was around 1-2 o'clock.... got pretty bad from there... pingpingpingpings everywhere. Probab;y could have improved it with entry and exit split, rather than everyone just going against each other. Oh btw, I was the guy wearing a shirt, I must have stood out...


Pendulum smashed it, that was my highlight, Dizzee (and tits, well 1 tit on screen ftw) was decent, but left to hit Pendulum when he was doing Dance Wiv Me.. Art Vs Science was surprisingly good, Presets weren't bad, was keen to see Mark Ronson but missed most of it.

Like people had said it was crazy trying to get over the hill to see Pendulum, but well worth it.

Massive fan of Binary Finary, Cosmic Gate, Leftfield and Chemical Brothers.
Still wasn't going to pay $200+ to squeeze myself amongst fags from Jerseyshore and hero pingpingpings.
Would go in a heartbeat with VIP tix - as Ben said, it looks like the only way to go.

Had a great day, made the decision when the stages were announced that i was only staying at The Likes of You stage.
Perth doesn't have the space close enough to the city to hold a festival for 40,000 people and it not be a head fuck

Got there for Loco Dice, really rated him.
Leftfield were amazing
Sven Vaath was good, but being a 2.5 hour set the first 45 were a bit slow for my liking.
Plastikman was the most intense visual setup ive ever seen, loved it.

I got there and went straigh tto the DIMMAK stage it was fairly rocking. Watched sounds of stereo. I then went over to watch AvS the sound was getting washed away and could clearly hear the DIMMAK stage over the main stage so went back there.

Watched TAI - Pretty good

Walked over to watch MGMT and they were 15 minuites late and some guy got on stage and sung DMX. Stayed for about 5 songs wasn't feeling it and left.

Watched the end of Don Diablo who was dropping some awesome dubstep.

I then watched AOKI. He was the highlight of my day. His last 30 -45 minutes were insanely good.

Watched the last 45 of Chemical Brothers who despite Brockas claims earlier were pretty fucking good.

Left as they started playing block rocking beats. Straight on the shuttle bus and straight on the train had seats on both. Got home to Perth pretty easy. My friends who left at the very end not so easy.

Agree with Kye yesterday and today struggle town.

The DIMMAK stage was ALOT louder than the mainstage or the MGMT stage in my opinion.

NO CROWDS - would have been 100 people up there tops
NO LINES AT BAR
CLEAN TOILETS WITH NO LINES AND DEODERANTS AND HAND WASHES

6 FREE DRINKS
FREE WATER
FREE MASSAGES
and the bitches got FREE HAIR DRESSING / HAIR CUTS lol

next year im going to half the amount of concerts i go to and pay the extra to go VIP ... well worth is

agree 100%, VIP was well worth it chilled in style had a whole row of seats to ourselves zero line-up for anything, only left the grandstand to watch pendulum got there 15min early and got front row easy, they fucking rocked it

venue wasnt too bad the only problem was the bottle neck situations to both ends of the venue.
way too many people though.
and the speople seemed to be moving in herds to certain acts ie pedulum and kesha??? wtf

spent a fair bit of time in the dusk till doorn room, it was going off in there, sander van doorn was rocking.

loco dice was pretty good too

They know how to really please a crowd. Warp went off like nuts!
