Might dust off the boots, see how I feel , if not I might head to a good spot in baldivis if ya keen . Sandy bowls. Bit of sandy Mx track , couple of dodgey pallet ramps. It's not deep sand . Pretty good spot but not as long distance as metro road. Prob wouldn't get any further than 5kms from parking spot.
I'll send pm later in week if I keen .
630 a bit early for me , brain still not working at that time to go ridding.

Been watchin the rain radar on my phone all day, the Beverly/Metro's area has been gettin hammered all day, alot heavier than the metro area.
So conditions are gonna be prime on Saturday cant wait!!!
Cos its only gonna be 30deg might make it a lil later than 6:30 if the early start is a problem for anyone.

well today couldnt go much worse :-( hit a puddle at about 80kph turns out was deeper than expected i got bucked off the pegs, lost control and plowed into a barbwire fence taking out 3 wooden posts with my leg before cartwheelin the bike down the track.
Had to ride about 40min thru bush back to the car with a broken leg.
Am currently layin in freo hospital waitin for surgery in the mornin to have pins or a plate put in my leg to reattach fractures in my right tib and fib bones.

heres a pic of my metal work.
titanium rod all the way thru my right tibula with 5 screws, 2 at the top and 3 at the bottom to stop the rod and bone turning against each other.

Seem to be doin not to bad, i'm off the real strong pain killers now and just taking panadol for my shoulder strain. got 2 weeks of no weight on the leg then i get support cast cut off and a full cast put on for another 6 weeks or summin.

Will that be permanent or do they remove it once the bone has knitted properly ??
Nice mod btw :)

wow, thats fairly extensive.
hope your on top private cover if that lot is meant to come out. i thought i was on highest cover i could get but MBP covered me to get knee screwed back together but wouldnt cover me to get it all pulled out.
all the best with the recovery.

i've been told it can be removed if i want but given my age i aint gonna be growin anymore so it can be left in if i want.
They told me in most cases the rod gets left it but sometimes the screws can agravate some people so they get them removed.
i'm happy to leave it it, 1st step to being bionic man!! titanium > bone

Have all but the same sort of pinning in my R/arm, was told all but the same thing with regards to removal. Only point I was warned about is if I break it with the pin in, the out come would not be pretty.
Plays in the back of my mind every time I ride now.

Not sure how old you are mike but the screws in my knee ache like fuck on cold nights. I'm getting mine out shortly but have had to wait 12months as MBP deemed them a pre existing condition when I upgraded my health cover. Also longer u wait the harder they are to get out as bone etc grows around them.
