Hey guys,
Just putting this one out there if anyone is interested a 2 hour enduro kart race at Wanneroo Kart Hire on the Sat the 19th of March. We are trying to get a few more teams of two drivers together as we have had a few teams pull out on us (..me included). Cost is $400 per team of two. Details here... http://www.wannerookarthire.com.au/endurance_racing.php
Let me know if you are keen and I can point you in the right direction.

When they say 'damages', that's racing incident damage I assume?
So if an engine blows up you're not expected to foot the bill?

May also be keen, did 3 or 4 hour one before & it was bombed!
What time & any go-kart racers in the field??

Thats right..
Or in my case last time I did an enduro at Wanneroo Kart Hire, a wheel snapped off whilst cornering and threw me into the sand at high speed, then the spare kart they put us in snapped a carburettor throttle linkage, then the replacement kart from there (the original one that they fixed) broke a chain... not to mention you couldn't even steer it properly because something was severely bent from the accident after the wheel flew off.
We didn't have to pay for any of the damage or breakages, as none were our fault, but I got less than half my allocated race time and no refunds were offered either.

Last enduro we did, pretty much the same thing happened. A few big breakages but we didn't pay for shite.
Awesome guys. For further booking details drop an email to my mate Marc who is organising the day. Like I said, I can't make it but just wanted to see if anyone was interested so there is enough numbers to run the event. His addy is marc@kineticelectrical.com.au

Did a go kart day for my bucks, and one of my mates who weighs about 115kg and had never driven a kart before killed us all and got the fastest lap of the day at the facility.
Sure you could take him on the straight, but in the corners he seemed to have ridiculous grip and way better momentum.

X2... I wonder if my fat arse would even fit in the seat. Last time I drove a Formula Ford I had to take the seat out and sit in the cab on a piece of foam so a kart might be out of the question.

Last time I went, a guy thought he'd be a hero and take me under brakes (I was on the verge of locking it up/overshooting, so no chance he'd take me) dude ran into my back wheel, and somehow managed to flip over my cart and land head first in the gravel.
I was a bit stunned at the time, but in hind-site it was pretty funny.

^^ did a similar thing when i used to race. girl in front brakes far to early my front tyre hit her rear and launched me back into the pit entry.
ended up driving up the entry area and hanging a 180 before going back out and catching up. this is with a j series motor where once u stop that it's.
was laughing hard around the track at the time.
Im keen, anyone want to share a kart with me?
im 65kg.. Can sort of drive (maybe) :D

Have raced the 2 hour one before with 2 other mates using the same cart with me. We ended up doing 15 minute intervals and by the end of it all 50% of the drivers were totally stuffed and the rest of the people just jumped into any cart to keep it all driving. I was lapping in only 1-2 seconds slower than the Priollo boys so I was stoked!

You don't have to race in pairs. We did the same thing but they 4 hour one and you can have up too 4 drivers per Kart if you want a cheaper option.
Great fun, can't recommend it highly enough.

Everytime I've done the sessions where basically I'll be on track for an hour (in this case you'll do 20min runs and swap) after an hour total you will be buggered.
The course is super fun too, lots of really interesting corners that you can approach in a multitude of ways.
