Sports steering wheel for a commodore

I am wanting to put a race style wheel into my ute, have been told that they dont make a boss kit for the vt-vz because of the airbag. i have no airbags anymore. I know it can be done as ive seen it before but not sure how they went about it.

I had a VZ track car in at work a few weeks ago at work with a MOMO drift type steering wheel on it, the bloke had his 'boss kit' fabricated locally as he had trouble finding anyone whom bulk produced one. I don't know how hard he looked though, as I knew of a company over east that supplied them, I'll do some digging for the company name.
