Anyone got one lying around? Keen to play some old school games! Shoot me a pm. Also if you got mario karts/super smash bros that would be awsome.

Cheers Zaff

Look at your local swap meet markets. Went randomly to belmont one sunday, picked up a replacement n64 for $10

Either that or emulation is a good way to play games that you'll probably never find again.

eBay - cheapest way is to buy in packs.

Most people try to get as much as they can for the sought after games, don't be surprised if some ask $100+ for a mint one. I started collecting retro gear back 5 or so years ago, local sunday meets, quokka, gumtree, eBay... game traders if you are lucky. I have never found anything at the local tip myself!

There is one NES game worth a solid $55,000.

Most I have paid for a game is $250 - Mega Man - The Wily Wars for Sega MegaDrive.

Well worth the cash if you play it often!

you can buy cartridges for these, which accept 2gig memory cards to play roms you download. look up "super everdrive" its made in ukraine, they do em for both snes and mega drive. i have one it works well on snes.

Yeah that isn't bad, but defeats the purpose of collecting the games themselves. :p haha

I got a decent deal at GameTraders a couple weeks ago, MegaDrive games for $5. Perfect, like new in their cases.

Also, eBay UK & US have some good deals on games at times.

Are the games a bit shit when you revisit them?
I have an n64 and a few games in the house, but I like to keep my mental image of the games being way more fun than they probably were intact.

A bit like the visual horror i endured loading up the original Gran Turismo that I ordered as a Japanese import. If I had a pixel for all the pixels on screen, id have about 10 pixels. But it was worth it at the time.
Also bought japanese import time crisis to get a black gun. Poor skips all got orange guns.

There's an atari 7600 in this house somewhere too.
In it's original box, which spent some time in the attic.

They knew how to make big metal toggle switches in those days...
