As per title. The guy I use to do all my paint/panel stuff can't do it.
So who can?
Need holes welded up from bonnet pin holes in my GTR bonnet.
Cheers.

Try a coded welder

You'd probably be better of fiberglassing them up, bonnest skins are very thin and taking to them with a welder usual results in disaster as the heat warps the thin metal very easily. Then you need to load them up with body filler to try get it lookin straight again.
Bit of fiberglass matting on the inside of the skin then another piece on the outside sand it back then a quick skim of body filler, prime it and ur ready for paint.
Chances of stuffing up the bonnet with fiberglass is extremeely low compared to ali welding.

Yeah thats what they said about welding =/
They wouldn't do fibreglass as they have to guarantee their work and were a bit iffy about that..
Recommendations?

Daddy cut you off?
SSS Autos? Not sure if they would stock GTR gear, but it's worth a shot. Have you tried JPC, JWS, etc? Call around.

Yeah I will call around tomorrow.
I only just visited the paint shop and got the news, so was hoping someone knew a guy who could weld aluminium.

as mentioned welding something that thin isn't a matter of "just fill her up" you would not only warp everything around the weld, but it would be hard to build up new material without melting away the old stuff.
may be able to just cut a new section and fusion weld it in though

Looking around, appears $600 is about the going rate for a second hand bonnet or $850 for a CF jobbie.
Just remember, it's a GTR you have, you can't really be a jew and own one, doesn't work.

Yeah. Def not going CF. I like how stock R32 GTRs look.
Seems so stupid that 2 holes = need new bonnet, thats all.
Will give Metalcraft a call tomorrow.

You are going to struggle, I used to throw away heaps of range rover panels(ali) due to no panel shop/re conditioner wanting to touch them even pin dents fell into the too hard basket. Costs to much time and money to attempt the repair that a replacement panel usually worked out cheaper.

What do you guys think of flush sitting bonnet pins then?
Something like this:

Sell it and use the money towards another one. It will be straight and cheaper than the cost of repairs to the original one.

There does not need to be this many fucking fabrication threads - did you search? Call Metalcraft and ask the question. You might need to touch it over with filler to get it smooth.
