Does anyone know any info on doing a conversion from 1jz gte vvti to a 1.5j vvti?

Basically im trying to do some research before i dive into this. But i have the option of buying a non vvti 2jz gte.

First question - Does the vvti 1jz head fit onto a 2jz gte bottom end?(with modification of course to the oil and water galleries) Also any tech write ups on how to do it would be awesome.

Second - Does the vvti 1jz head fit onto a 2jz non turbo block, would this be weaker and take more work if i want decent power out of it?

Ive tried looking for tech write ups but im not getting to much solid info.

Any help would be awesome or the number of shops who could help.

Cheers,
Kappo

whats the advantage in fitting the 1j head to thr 2j block? And if you go to a single turbo etc... Does vvti give you any real benefits?

Sorry to add to your questions GR08WA.

kingd, reason why im doing this is becuase i already have a big single and manifold and pfc to suit the 1jz vvti. I dont want to ditch/sell all that and start again, so its easier for me to just bolt up the 2j bottom end and have a 3l, which is basically putting a full 2j in there. no real flow differences between the 1j and 2j head.
