What im wanting to do is change my stock rocker covers to aftermarker polished ali ones without PCV provisions as i have relocated coil pack and ECU.
Does anyone or has anyone done this who could shed some light on how to plumb a catch can in its place still maintaining ventilation between boths heads?
I notice there is a solid line running between the valley cover tapped into both heads.
Some help would be great.

Is the can sealed or open to atmosphere
If its open just run the hoses from your rocker covers to the catch can
If its sealed you will need to run another hose out of the catch can back into the manifold where the pcv valve was

I cant run it to the rocker covers as the covers im buying dont have outlets to take the pcv.
I was thinking of running from throttle body to catch can ( rather than the current setup i have of throttle body to rocker cover), then back to the manifold, possibly cut the pcv hose and plumb into it so i can maintain the one way valve.

Throttle body to the catch can is pointless if you not venting the air from inside the engine to it, you need to have the air build up in the motor ventilated which is usualy done via the rockers and then sucked back through the throttlebody or manifold and burnt off in combustion and spat out the exhaust. So you can either drill and tap some fittings into the rocker covers or there is also a breather ponit on the later model valley covers which is the plate bellow the manifold.
What rocker covers are they ?

i can't imagine the rocker covers being sealed with no breathers, sounds odd. It is illegal to have catch can to atmosphere but as Assasin said its the most efficient.
edit: i just saw your other post. If those fitting go into the heads (as in inside the rocker covers allowing it to breath) then connect them up to catch can and block off your pcv on the intake.

they are some machined aluminium ones ive found on eBay, by the looks of the pics etc there is no where for the PCV to hook in to.
that is the hose i am talking about ( steel hose below the manifold ) although there is no where to tap into it.
how ever it doesnt attach directly to the rocker cover, but to the side of the head.
I know the later model valley covers your talking about as ive seen a lot of catch can setups with a hose running to this, might have to look into getting one.

Just piss that hose off you dont need it
drill and tap fittings into your covers
run hoses from covers to catch can
run hose from catch can back to were the PCV hose came off the manifold
unless you buy an LS2 valley cover with the breather pipe but then you cant mount your knock sensors and will have to also buy late model knock sensors and tap and thread them into your block and modify the wiring.
Or just buy rocker covers that are already made with breather provisions
Post a link to these covers
