G'day guys

Got some tires I need fitting to some rims. Yeah I know, nothing too crazy...

They are just fairly expensive billets, 20x12 and I am wanting to fit my Nitto 315 semislicks without damaging the rims. I usually just go to any average tire shop for my junker rims, but don't want to take the risk of some bogan not taking care and scratching/chipping these or whatever.

I'm down Mandurah way, but prepared to drive to a decent shop, can any of you guys recommend a good place?

Cheers

Mke

Andy at Tyrepower (mandurah), i believe he is the manager there, (the XR6T boys should be able to confirm?)
he's (well his workers i assume) have fitted tyres to my set and Dean's set of Simmons with no issues :) so for a shop close to your area. try there? :)

To far for you but if others have the same question NOR.

Wheels of Wanneroo in Wangara, John Cook is the owner. Very old school and relatively small shop but they take more precautions than any other shop I’ve visited.

- Cleaning and applying a grease to the studs before wheels go back on.
- Re-installed nuts by hand and then using a hand tool to tighten. Once on ground they used the hand tool to tighten completely. Only used a rattle gun to remove the wheels.
- They also noticed one studs thread was slightly damaged but were able to clean it up and save it.

As for precautions whilst installing tyres on rims. I picked up my freshly painted 19's one Saturday morning and had them fit tyres and balanced without any problems.

Certainly not a 'conveyor belt' type wheel shop. But are swift in there service and care more than any other shop I’ve been to.

Wheels world in Osborne Park have the super duper machine that fits uber low profile tyres without touching the front of the rim. John that runs it is a top bloke aswell.
