So Shell are finally bringing a 98RON product to Perth and they're having a "VIP" event to show off. Lots of Ferrari stuff from the looks of it. I can't make it but I figured people might be interested:

Learn how Shell’s technical partnership with Ferrari can benefit your car through exciting presentations by a Shell fuel expert.
Have your photo taken with the 2010 Scuderia Ferrari F10.
Put your driving skills to the test in the Formula One V-POD simulator challenge for the chance to win $500 worth of Shell V-Power*.
Navigate the bends and turns of the Formula One remote control and slot car tracks.
Shell V-Power prizes and 2011 Perth Motor Show tickets up for grabs.
Light refreshments will be provided.

does anyone knows where is the 98ron coming from? is it getting refined in kwinana like bp ultimate?
is it a 98ron brew similar to ultimate? or more like vortex with additives added to bump up ron rating?

what i meant was, AFAIK bp98 ultimate is refined 98ron fuel, refined here in WA. Vortex 95ron and 98ron from caltex is unleaded with additives/chemicals added to "bump" up the ron to 95ron or 98ron.

if the above is wrong, i apologise.

so therefore my question is how is shell 98ron thats going to be sold here made?
ie if its ultimate 98ron badged as shell i will happily use it..
