David Hasselhoff has struck again. The man who found fame through Baywatch has also found his way into many an email inbox of late, and yesterday appeared uninvited as a link to the website of Vodafone Australia.

The bit of satirical computer hacking ensured that browsers examining the latest phone deals were given an intimate insight into the alleged phone habits of the Knight Rider.

"Choose from the hottest ring tones from my greatest hits album and for the ladies download all the sexiest shots of me. It's all included in your no-ties monthly Hoff Cap. Perfect for those of you who just don't have enough of the Hoffmeister in your life," the web page proclaimed.

Vodafone was unamused. A spokeswoman told Spike: "We are just trying to work out how it happened. I can assure you it's not part of our marketing or anything like that."
