Looking for a small good digicam for my GF so she can take happy snaps just wondering where I could get a good cheap one for around 200-250?

Thanks.

Photographers are gonna cringe I apologize

I bought my current Canon Powershot SX200 for $250 off www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au. 12x optical zoom, good macro, not too bad video. Bought the exact same one for the gf, and she likes it too. It was replaced by another model (don't recall the model #) but seems they're still selling the SX200.
Delivery through these guys is within the week.

If you don't like that camera, plenty more to choose from on that site.

The Panasonic Lumix range is decent for compact / point and shoot.
the DMC FH3 is $250 RRP

I use a Canon DSLR, but happily switch to my wife's Lumix when I can't be bothered carrying that about. Small enough to slot into your pocket, but has some really nice metering modes (copes well with back lighting and so on). I think hers was around $500 a couple of years ago, so chances are that tech has trickled down by now.

Thanks for the help just looking at those 2 models they seem pretty good maybe overkill for but maybe I could use it ahah.

What do you guys think of Canon IXUS 220 HS?
