Ahh shit thought that was your pic above.. my bad.
It is, but it came off my iphone, not the best device for pics of cars moving at speed.
Looking forward to seeing how Caruso goes in the new Vette.

Yeah few cars at whitemen park stages had a couple of off's. The grean hatch back did the spectators well by hanging it out on the corners as well a few other cars. will post a few pics later :)

i thought targa modern competition meant the car had to be "stock" except for all the safety gear? wouldn't any car in that category be stock power?

Gearbox ecu is tuned to match engine power/torque, changing gearboxes doesn't change the tune.

Yes VERY disappointed with the lack of post race fog from a certain AL member. (He did alright on the stages though)
Got some decent footage from the hairpin, processing it now. Video will be posted soon.
EDIT : Well done Steve. Had the R35 working hard every time I saw it out on a stage.

Well done Steve, great effort for a last minute entry. No car, no prep, turned it around real quick to do the job.

nope.
Jim Richards Porsche is 100% stock, unless you want to call optioned stiffened springs a mod. Oh, and the factory GT2RS cage was not CAMS approved, Porsche had to build him another one :)
Anyone else notice that the Vangina has a "Service Crew" label on the windscreen?
Who were they "servicing"?

There are "stock" cars that ran in the event and a few of them did quite well. Jim Richards 911, Kim Ledgers Evo 9, Tarmac Mag's Evo X, Moneybag's Viper ect. All just have the CAMS safety gear. Octagon run a class for mechanically stock cars (it may as well be a TMR Evo category) in the big Targas over east and I think it's the best category because it gives people with modest budgets the ability to compete on skill (or balls) rather than he with the best tuned GTR / Lambo / 911 (and enough skill / balls to keep in out of the greenery) wins situation of the outright class.

youve got different classes within the classic modern, modern etc.
M1 which are your porsche's, lambo's and R35's, and allows cat back exhausts, computers & boost changes, full cages are mandatory whichever event your in. then youve got M2 which is your WRX's, EVo's, a little more free range, turbo back exhausts, computers, boost, brakes can be upgraded but need to retain the original size rims (targa tasmania etc has been taken back from octagon so hopefully rules are changed to accomodate both). vehicles have to be original vehicle manufacturers weight aswell
