Thought I would start a thread for all to share tips and hits on general car maintenance and all other bits and peices.

Use cam lube in your oil when doing oil changes.

Allways check your coolant and oil before long trips (given) and allways check your tyre pressure.

any others go for gold and help your fellow antilagger's

Thought I would contribute, make sure your windscreen is clean and free of bug splatter, mud, blood, bird shit and don't put soy sauce into your washer bottle

When doing oil changes , after you have drained the old oil pour some fresh oil straight through engine, ie with sump plug still removed. better still stick an air hose in the rocker cover & blow oil through engine. You will be amazed at the extra dirty oil you get out and how much longer you new oil stays clean for.

During a service, when I change my oil, I like to run my engine with no oil in it for 20 minutes to clear out all the gallerys.

*My methods may not work for others.
