Forza Motorsport 4 Weekly Time Attack Challenge 2

So here is the idea: Everyone races the same track in the same class car and posts up their times. Winner gets to choose the following weeks event.

Las weeks winner was Grant (GT 86 WA), so this week he has chosed to race Suzuka Full in R3 class with the following rules:

Traction Control OFF
Stability Control OFF
Rewind OFF
ABS OFF
Auto Steering (if you're lame enough to use it?) OFF

Shifting is up to you if you want manual/clutch/auto, as is steering style. People with a wheel might prefer simulation, while those with a controller might not.
Times can be seen by everyone here http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/community/leaderboard.aspx Or under the Car Club section in Community in game. Scoring will be the same as it is in game, with the fastest clean lap being the winner.

just out of intrest the rules state what class car you can do the challenge in but are you allowed to use a lower class car?
Such as current class R3 and if you can set a time in a S class does that still count?

I think the main thing about the class of car is that it is recorded on the leaderboard under R3. So your time may end up being fast but the leader board under R3 Suzuka will not display it.

Anyone else having problems with the "!" sign coming up on this track on clean laps? Most times it comes up as im entering the first corner and im not even on the grass.

What class is the Radical?

I did 2:08 with the FXX, but the top times are with the Mosler or the McLaren F1 GT.

2:04.216 with the fxx. such an awesome car. really get a good sense of the accel when your going up the gears

Yes. Had me raging hard! I cannot get into the FXX, far too touchy on the throttle. Mind you I was using a 34 before that so could mash throttle and it was nothing but grip :(

I have found the last 1/3 of your previous lap has to be clean to not get the ! on the next lap.

This makes sense, as I come into my flying lap I cut the first right hander in the chicane to get a better run onto the straight. They must be onto it lol.

I got a 2:08.116 with the FXX, great car, tyres last me a lap max maybe two and then its slippery. I like how the steering response changes at high speed.

They go from green to red fairly quickly when i continually get on the power prematurely from corners.

when i bought the xbox a week ago i decided i was going to play it with everything turned off, for the challenge and to hopefully get good enough to get good times, i'm fucking miles off some of you guys on here atm but i'm guessing your either freaks or played forza 3 as well lol.
i'll keep banging away, built a 69 camaro for drift atm and also have an a600 circuit build for it, great fun!
handles like shit but against the ferrari, vipers nsx's etc it monsters them on the straights and in the bends.

noticed that as well, had a crack on suzuka today withhh TC on, 10 laps and still couldnt get close. I was definatly slower out of the corners with it on

niva, i uploaded my gumpert to the club garage if you want to have a crack.

i dont think the tune is that great and i use the wheel, but it may work for you.

No probs, I'll make another thread. I tried besting my time on this one the other day but just couldn't do it. I don't have cars quick enough, and upgrading lesser cars to this class just don't handle well enough.

yea, i tried to get there with the gumpert but i wasn't going to find 1.5 seconds! Mosler was quick with some light mods and no real tuning.
